In December 2025, DraftKings launched its prediction markets app through DraftKings Predictions, its subsidiary that operates as a CFTC-registered Introducing Broker and member of the National Futures Association.

DraftKings Predictions is available in all U.S. states except Maine and New Hampshire.

Sports markets are unavailable in Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The app lets users trade shares on sports outcomes and real-world events, including economics, politics, culture, and other categories.

DraftKings Predictions uses the familiar DraftKings front-end look, and anyone who has spent time with other DK products will probably get comfortable fast. For me, ease of use is the biggest plus. If you’re coming over from sports betting or DFS, the app gives you a pretty easy path into event trading.

That simplicity comes with a trade-off. You won’t get many of the tools that more active traders usually want. There are no activity charts, liquidity trackers, or full order book views like you get on Kalshi.

You also can’t place limit orders, which takes away some control over your entry price and makes precise trading a lot tougher.

After creating an account on DraftKings Predictions, new users receive $200 in Predictions Dollars as a welcome bonus.

In this DraftKings Predictions review, I’ll break down market selection, fees, liquidity, banking, and the details traders should know before signing up.

Ratings by Category

Overall Rating

80/100

DraftKings Predictions has a strong foundation. The app looks sharp and benefits from partnerships with multiple exchanges, which helps with liquidity and market coverage. It still needs a deeper feature set before I’d move it into the top tier of my rankings.

Fees

33/40

DraftKings Predictions charges up to $0.02 fees per contract. Those fees are higher than what you’ll get with Polymarket or Kalshi.

User Experience

11/12.5

DraftKings Predictions is easy to use and fast. The layout is familiar, the app is simple to navigate, and the learning curve is low for users coming from DraftKings Sportsbook or DFS.

Market Variety

9/12.5

The market selection covers major sports, niche sports like Formula 1, and real-world events across politics, macro, and entertainment. It’s a good mix, even if the overall selection still has room to grow.

Limits & Liquidity

11/12.5

DraftKings Predictions routes orders to third-party exchanges, which gives users access to the liquidity available on those venues. Since those are major exchanges, liquidity is strong in covered markets. The platform also doesn’t impose its own trading caps.

Customer Reviews

11/12.5

DraftKings Predictions has a 4.2 rating on Google Play and a 4.8 rating on the App Store.

Tools & Features

0.5/5

DraftKings Predictions doesn’t offer limit orders, which is a major drawback for active traders. It also doesn’t show a bids-and-asks view, so there’s less visibility into market depth and available pricing before entering a trade.

Banking

4.5/5

DraftKings is one of the few trading apps that offer free withdrawals and e-wallets.

DraftKings Predictions Sign-Up Bonus & Promo Code

DraftKings Predictions offers new users up to $200 in Predictions Dollars. To claim the welcome offer, you need to place your first trade for $5 or more.

After that qualifying trade, DraftKings credits $50 in Predictions Dollars instantly. The remaining $150 is paid out over the next 21 days.

You don’t need a DraftKings Predictions promo code to claim the offer. Just create an account using my link, fund it, and place a qualifying $5+ trade on a Predictions market.

Predictions Dollars are promo funds, not withdrawable cash. They are single-use, expire one year from the date they’re issued, and only the profit from a winning trade made with Predictions Dollars returns to your cash balance.

How to Sign Up for DraftKings Predictions

Getting started with DraftKings Predictions is pretty quick, especially if you already have a DraftKings account. You can use the same login you use for DraftKings Sportsbook, Daily Fantasy, or Casino because everything runs through the same account system.

One thing to keep in mind is that your Predictions balance is separate, so money in that wallet can’t be used across other DraftKings products.

Here’s how to get everything up and running:

  1. Open DraftKings Predictions through the link on this page. Using the link is the quickest way to land on the right product without hunting around for the app or typing in the URL yourself. It doesn’t unlock a hidden promo, but it does save a step.
  2. Sign in or create your account. If you already use DraftKings, log in with your existing credentials. If you’re brand new, you’ll need to create an account and enter the standard personal details, including your full name, home address, date of birth, and Social Security number.
  3. Finish the identity check. Because this is a regulated trading product, the account review goes a little deeper than what most sportsbook users are used to. In addition to basic identity verification, you may be asked for additional financial details related to compliance, such as employment information, income range, or net worth.
  4. Deposit funds into your Predictions account. Once your account is approved, the next step is depositing so you can start trading. Just remember that this wallet is separate from your other DraftKings balances, so you’re funding Predictions on its own.
  5. Browse the markets and make your first trade. After your account is funded, you can jump into the app, look through the available sports and event markets, pick a position, and place your first trade.

My Favorite Parts About DraftKings Predictions

My Least Favorite Parts About DraftKings Predictions

How Trading Works on DraftKings Predictions

Prediction market trading on DraftKings Predictions works by turning future events into tradable contracts that users can buy or sell. In simple terms, you’re buying a position on whether something will happen, and the value of that position moves as the market’s view changes.

Each outcome is priced between $0 and $1, and that number is the cost of one contract.

Let's take an NBA game to illustrate how trading works on DraftKings Predictions.

If the Orlando Magic are listed at -117 against the Phoenix Suns, that implies a win probability of about 53.9%, which puts one share at roughly $0.54. If you buy 50 shares at $0.54, your total cost is $27 plus the fees.

DraftKings Predictions NBA

Trades depend on available liquidity. If you want to buy a contract at a certain price, there needs to be matching liquidity on the other side at that price. That’s why some orders fill right away, while others may take longer or fail to fill at the price you want.

Liquidity matters even more when you’re trying to trade a bigger amount. In a market with weak liquidity, there may not be enough contracts available at your target price, which can force you to wait, lower your order size, or accept a different price.

Orders can also be partially filled. For example, if you try to buy 50 Magic contracts at $0.54 but only 20 contracts are available at that price, those 20 may fill right away while the remaining 30 stay open unless more liquidity appears.

What Happens After You Buy a Contract on DraftKings Predictions

Once you have a contract, there are three main ways the trade can play out from there.

  1. Hold the position until settlement. If the Magic win, each contract settles at $1. If you bought 50 contracts at $0.54, your position settles for $50. Since you paid $27 to get in, your gross profit is $23 before fees. If the Magic lose, the contracts settle at $0, and you lose the $27 you paid for the position.
  2. Sell after the price drops to cut your losses. If the Magic contract falls after you buy it and you sell, you’re taking the loss before it gets worse. For example, if you bought 50 contracts at $0.54, you paid $27. If the price drops to $0.35 and you sell, you get back $17.50 before fees. That can make sense if you want to stop a smaller loss from turning into a bigger one.
  3. Sell after the price rises. If the Magic contract climbs from $0.54 to $0.70 and you sell there, you lock in the gain. On 50 contracts, selling at $0.70 returns $35 before fees. Since you paid $27 to enter, your gross profit would be $8, minus the two rounds of fees.

Note that you can only sell if there’s enough liquidity on the other side, which means there have to be traders willing to buy your contracts from you. If there aren’t enough buyers at that moment, you may not be able to exit the full position right away.

Sometimes only part of the order goes through. Sometimes you’re stuck waiting for more interest to show up.

DraftKings Predictions Pricing & Fees

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 33/40

Unlike DraftKings Sportsbook, where DraftKings sets the odds in-house, DraftKings Predictions doesn’t control the pricing itself.

On DraftKings Predictions, contract prices are set by market activity. In other words, users are the ones driving prices up or down based on what they’re willing to pay and accept.

DraftKings Predictions charges a tiered fee per contract, per side. Contracts priced between $0.01 and $0.19, or between $0.97 and $0.99, cost $0.01 per contract. Contracts priced between $0.20 and $0.96 cost $0.02 per contract.

So every time you buy contracts, you pay the applicable fee based on the contract's price. If you later sell them, you pay that fee again. That brings the total round-trip cost to between $0.02 and $0.04 per contract, depending on where the contract is priced.

You may also pay an exchange fee charged by the underlying exchange handling the trade.

That puts DraftKings Predictions in roughly the same fee range as OG and Crypto.com, and in a slightly better spot than FanDuel, especially on larger trades. FanDuel Predicts takes a 2% cut based on the potential payout of each trade, which can get expensive once your size goes up.

Kalshi, Polymarket, and Robinhood all offer more favorable pricing.

DraftKings Predictions Market Variety

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 9/12.5

DraftKings Predictions offers a broader market range than most sportsbooks or DFS offshoots, largely because it works with multiple third-party exchanges. That gives it access to more contracts than prediction market apps that usually rely on a single exchange source.

For example, DraftKings Predictions added NBA and NFL player props in February 2026 through its partnership with Crypto.com.

Overall, DraftKings Predictions offers 11+ sports markets, plus the stock market, politics, economics, and tech.

I’ll break down the full menu below.

Sports Selection

Here’s the full list of sports you can trade on DraftKings Predictions:

  • NBA
  • NFL
  • MLB
  • NHL
  • College basketball
  • College football
  • Golf
  • Tennis
  • Soccer
  • Formula 1
  • Sailing

That’s a respectable sports coverage, but it still comes up well short of Kalshi. Where DraftKings Predictions falls furthest behind is in niche sports. Kalshi goes beyond the mainstream sports and offers markets on sports like cricket, rugby, and darts.

A few other platforms have sports that DraftKings Predictions doesn’t. Novig, for example, offers esports, and ProphetX has NASCAR.

There’s a difference in depth within each sport, too. Kalshi offers contracts on the EuroLeague and a range of domestic basketball leagues from around the world. DraftKings Predictions keeps the focus much closer to home, offering only NBA and CBB for basketball.

Market Selection Per Sport

Most of the non-sports markets on DraftKings Predictions are set up as Yes-or-No contracts on whether an event occurs.

On the sports side, you’re not limited to just picking who will win. DraftKings Predictions also offers spreads, where you’re trading on the margin of victory, along with totals markets.

DraftKings Predictions also offers a basic futures selection for users who want to trade longer-term outcomes rather than waiting for something that settles the same day. In the NBA, for example, you can trade markets like MVP, conference winner, or whether a team will make the playoffs.

You’ll also see alternate totals, which let you adjust the risk and reward. A line that’s more difficult to hit pays more, while a more conservative line gives you less upside but a better chance to cash.

Beyond Sports: Non-Sporting Markets on DraftKings Predictions

DraftKings Predictions offers a pretty good mix of non-sports markets, including politics, business, economics, crypto, commodities, and stock market contracts.

Here’s a look at the real-world categories you can trade on DraftKings Predictions.

  • Politics. Markets on elections, primaries, governor races, Senate races, and other political outcomes. You’ll find contracts on candidate matchups, party control, and race winners.
  • Business. Company-based markets that are built around business rankings, corporate outcomes, and competitive questions. That includes contracts on which company will report the largest earnings in a given quarter, or which firm will come out on top in a major category like AI.
  • Economics. Contracts tied to macro data and policy outcomes. That includes inflation reports like the Consumer Price Index and rate-related markets built around the Federal Funds Rate.
  • Crypto. Markets tied to digital assets and crypto-related price targets or milestone outcomes.
  • Commodities. Contracts tied to raw materials and commodity-based price outcomes.
  • Stock Market. Markets that are tied to public companies and broader market results. Depending on the listing, that can include questions around company position, market leadership, or other stock-related outcomes.

DraftKings Predictions bitcoin price

For a product coming out of the sports betting and DFS world, the non-sports variety is better than most people would probably expect. It still doesn’t cover everything you’ll find elsewhere. Kalshi, for example, offers Mentions markets, while Robinhood has markets on Education.

My Experience Using the DraftKings Predictions App

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 11/12.5

DraftKings launched Predictions as its own standalone app.

The app has been reviewed well so far. It holds a 4.8 rating on iOS and a 4.2 rating on Android.

I spent some time going through user feedback, and most of it was positive. Most users seemed happy to finally have a way to trade sports-related outcomes in states where regular sports betting still isn’t available, like California.

I did run into one negative review from a user who was frustrated by a withdrawal taking a few days and jumped to calling the app a scam. That accusation felt over the top for a brand with DraftKings’ track record.

Below, I’ll get into my own take on how DraftKings Predictions performs in real use, both in terms of usability and overall functionality.

Interface and Visual Design

Right away, one part of the layout threw me off a bit. DraftKings doesn’t carve out a separate top-level section just for sports. In the horizontal menu, NBA, golf, crypto, and other non-sports categories are all mixed together, which makes the top navigation less organized than it could be.

One thing I did like was the two-step navigation once you click into a broader category. If you open MLB, for example, you’ll see separate tabs for games, awards, and futures. I probably would’ve combined awards and futures, but the structure still helps.

DraftKings Predictions MLB

The same idea shows up in non-sports markets, too. In Crypto, the navigation breaks out into Bitcoin and Ethereum, which makes browsing easier once you’re inside the category.

Once you enter a specific market, the view is pretty basic. You won’t see a pricing chart, an order book, or other tools that help traders read market activity in more detail.

That said, some of the trading options are split up in a way that does help with navigation. In MLB, for example, markets are separated into game lines and innings, which makes it easier if you want to trade something tied to a specific part of the game instead of the full matchup.

At the bottom of each market, you’ll find the rules breakdown. I’d strongly recommend reading that section closely. A lot of confusion in prediction markets starts when users assume a market will settle one way, then find out the official wording says something different.

Placing a Trade

For my first trade, I tried to get in on a La Liga market on a Sunday morning. Once you choose an outcome, the slip shows Yes and No options.

That’s worth paying attention to, especially in a three-way soccer market. If you’re trading No on one team to win, that doesn’t just mean the other team has to win. A draw counts too.

You can also use a dropdown to choose how you want to enter the trade. The app lets you size it in dollars or by number of shares, which is a nice touch depending on how you usually think about position size.

Next to the “You’re buying” label, there’s a small icon showing the fee tied to the trade. Under that, the slip shows your payout, so the basic numbers are easy to find before you submit anything.

Once the trade is live, you can find it under My Trades. From there, you can either sell the position or add to it by buying more.

DraftKings Predictions vs. DraftKings Sportsbook

Here are the main ways DraftKings Predictions differs from DraftKings Sportsbook and other standard betting sites.

At a glance

DraftKings Sportsbook

DraftKings Predictions

How prices are set

DraftKings builds the lines in-house and includes its margin in the price.

Prices are shaped by market activity. Users trade contracts, and the price moves based on what traders are willing to buy or sell at.

How the market works

You place a bet against the house at the listed odds.

You’re trading contracts in a market where another participant takes the other side of the trade.

Position control

Once a bet is placed, you usually need to cash out to exit early, if that option is offered at all.

You can sell a position before settlement if there are enough buyers on the other side. You can also add to an open position.

Price format

Odds are shown in American format, like -110 or +150.

Prices are still shown in sportsbook odds, but the trade is really based on contract value between $0 and $1.

Market types

Standard bets like moneylines, spreads, totals, props, same-game parlays, and futures.

Sports contracts, plus politics, business, economics, crypto, commodities, and stock market contracts.

Fees

No separate betting fee is shown. The sportsbook’s hold is built into the odds.

Users pay up to $0.02 per contract per side, plus any exchange fee tied to the underlying venue.

Liquidity

The sportsbook takes the bet directly, subject to its own limits and risk controls.

Orders route through third-party exchanges, so fills depend on available market interest and exchange liquidity.

Banking

Shared with the rest of the DraftKings betting ecosystem in eligible states.

Separate balance from Sportsbook, DFS, and Casino. Funds deposited here can’t be used across other DraftKings products.

Availability

Only available in states where DraftKings Sportsbook is live.

Available more broadly, including some states where sports betting isn’t legal, though sports contracts are restricted in some states.

DraftKings Predictions Background

DraftKings didn’t start in prediction markets. It made its name in daily fantasy sports, then became one of the biggest operators in U.S. online betting as state-by-state sportsbook legalization spread. From there, the company kept growing and turned DraftKings into a much bigger gambling ecosystem.

DraftKings Predictions is the latest piece of that push. The app launched in December 2025 as a standalone prediction markets product, giving eligible users a way to trade event contracts through a federally regulated framework instead of the usual sportsbook model.

DraftKings’ acquisition of Railbird Exchange before launch gave the company its own exchange infrastructure and, at least on paper, a route to run more of the product on its own rails. Going in, it was fair to think DraftKings might launch Predictions on its own exchange from the start.

DraftKings Predictions originally operated through a broker model, routing trades through third-party exchanges like CME Group and Crypto.com.

That changed on June 26, 2026, when DraftKings launched its own in-house exchange, DKeX, giving the company more direct control over its prediction-market infrastructure.

Some products, like Combos, still run partly on Crypto.com's infrastructure as the transition continues.

From a legal and regulatory standpoint, DraftKings Predictions runs through GUS III LLC, which does business as DraftKings Predictions and operates as a CFTC-registered Introducing Broker and member of the National Futures Association.

In plain English, that means users are accessing event contracts through a federal regulatory structure, not the state gaming setup most sportsbook users are used to.

From a business standpoint, the move makes a lot of sense.

DraftKings already has a huge base of sportsbook and DFS users, so it doesn’t need to build demand from zero. The broker route gave it a faster way into the market, while the Railbird deal gives it room to take on a bigger piece of the infrastructure later.
