Up to 3 to 5 Business Days

PrizePicks launched prediction markets through a partnership with Kalshi. Team Picks cover sports outcomes, while Culture Picks focus on real-world events like entertainment, economics, and financial topics.

Like other prediction market products, your cost and payout depend on how many contracts you buy and the price you pay for each one. If your pick wins and you hold it through settlement, each winning contract pays out $1. If it loses, it settles at $0.

PrizePicks charges service fees when you buy a pick and when you sell one before settlement. The fee ranges from $0.005 to $0.02 per contract, which puts PrizePicks in the lower-cost range for prediction market apps.

If you hold a Team Pick or Culture Pick until its closing date, there is no extra fee on the final payout. The fee only applies when you submit an order to buy or sell contracts.

PrizePicks Team and Culture Picks Pricing & Fees

All pricing in PrizePicks prediction markets is determined by user activity. The markets operate through PrizePicks Predict, run by Performance Predictions II, LLC, a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant.

Regulation through the CFTC allows PrizePicks to offer event contracts in partnership with Kalshi.

The platform does not set prices. They shift in response to user demand and supply. When demand increases for one side of the market, the price moves closer to $1. If fewer people believe in an outcome, the price stays lower.

There is no built-in house margin. PrizePicks does not manipulate probabilities or embed an edge into the pricing. All price movement reflects what traders in the market believe about the likelihood of each result.

Instead of showing prices in dollar amounts like $0.42, PrizePicks displays payout multipliers. A lower multiplier indicates greater market confidence in the outcome, while a higher multiplier suggests a long shot with lower current demand.

As for costs, there are only 2 types of fees on the platform:

  • A small fee is included in the cost when you buy contracts
  • A fee is applied if you sell a position before the market closes

PrizePicks charges a fee when you buy a pick and if you sell before it settles. The fee ranges from $0.005 to $0.02 per contract, so pricing is fairly low compared with most prediction market apps.

PrizePicks applies a service fee when you buy a pick and again if you sell before settlement. The fee runs from $0.005 to $0.02 per contract, which keeps PrizePicks on the cheaper side of the prediction market space.

The maximum risk is always limited to the original stake, and payouts depend entirely on the live market price, shaped by user activity.
