ProphetX is a sweepstakes betting exchange available in over 38 U.S. states.
Unlike traditional sportsbooks, sweepstakes apps don't operate under the same state-by-state licensing model. Sweepstakes platforms rely on a different legal framework, which is why they’ve been able to reach a much wider part of the country.

Because some states have moved to restrict or block sweepstakes betting apps, ProphetX is unavailable in a dozen states, including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Washington.
ProphetX works a lot like prediction markets, which is why many people put both products in the same bucket. In both cases, you are making predictions on sports or other events against other users in a peer-to-peer market.
Your trade only goes through if another user is willing to take the other side at your price. That structure is a big part of what separates ProphetX from a regular sportsbook, where you are betting against the house.
