New Orleans Saints Betting Partnership With Caesars

The New Orleans Saints and Caesars Entertainment first entered into partnership in 2018, making Harrah's New Orleans the official casino partner of the team.

In even bigger news in July 2021, Caesars announced that the Saints' iconic stadium would be rebranded as the Caesars Superdome in a 20-year deal.

At this time, the Saints don't have any other official sports betting partners—though that's not very surprising given that the stadium is named after one of the most popular sportsbooks in the nation.

Types of New Orleans Saints Bets

At this point, you may have chosen a sportsbook to bet on the Saints with, but what type of bets can you make?

Let's take a look at the most common types of NFL bets:

Saints Moneyline Bets

This is the simplest type of bet. With moneyline bets, you simply pick who will win the game. For example, you may pick the Saints to beat the Falcons straight up.

To successfully place moneyline bets, you’ll have to know how to read betting odds. Since one team is typically favored over another, you won’t simply be paid out what you bet.

Instead, one team will be a favorite (indicated by a negative sign in front of their odds) while another will be an underdog (positive sign in front of their odds).

Betting on underdogs will payout more than betting on favorites.

Saints Spread Bets

Though moneyline bets are the most straightforward, spread bets are the most common type of NFL bet—including the Saints.

With spread bets, each team is “handicapped” by a certain number of points to make the game more even. If the bookmakers expect one team to win, they will “take away” points from their final score and “add” points to the other team's final score.

For example, if the Saints are -3.5 points against the Panthers (+3.5), then the Saints would have to win by 4 or more in order for the bet to win.

On the flip side, if the Saints are +6.5 against the Buccaneers (-6.5), then the Saints would have to lose by 6 points or less OR win the game in order to cover the spread.

Saints Total (Over/Under) Bets

Another popular type of sports bet is a total—often also called Over/Under bets.

With total bets, you decide whether the final score of the game will be higher or lower than a set number.

If you think Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara are going to go off on offense, for example, then you may want to consider taking the Over. If you think a game is going to be a defensive battle, then maybe the Under is a better bet.

Say the Saints are playing the Cowboys and the total is set at 44.5. If the final score is Saints 21 – Cowboys 17, then the Under would hit since the combined score would be 38. If the score was Saints 28 – Cowboys 27, then the Over would hit with a combined score of 55.

Saints Prop Bets

While they aren’t as popular as moneyline, spread, and total bets, there are many more prop bets available and they provide a chance to find good value in many cases.

With prop bets, you are betting on something other than the final score of the game. There are two types: game props and player props.

With game props, you bet on things like who will score first, if there will be a safety, and if the combined final score will be odd or even.

With player props, you bet on the individual statistics of a player. For example, you may bet on Jameis Winston to have over 265 passing yards or for him to throw an interception. Alternatively, you may decide to bet on Alvin Kamara to have over 150 combined rushing and receiving yards.

Saints Futures Bets

Futures bets are exactly what they sound like—a bet that is based on something further in the future than the next week or two.

When it comes to the New Orleans Saints, specifically, futures bets include them winning the NFC South or Super Bowl, if their win total will be above or below the set number, one of the players to win an individual award such as MVP or Defensive Player of the Year, and much more.

For example, if you think Tyrann Mathieu is going to be a superstar addition in his first year with the Saints, you may bet on him to win Defensive Player of the Year. Or, maybe you think Michael Thomas will overcome his injury woes and have an All-Pro season as we've seen in the past. In this case, betting on him to win Comeback Player of the Year or Offensive Player of the Year may make sense.

New Orleans Saints Odds FAQs

Which sportsbook has the best Saints lines and odds?
It depends on the specific Saints bet you’re interested in. Even if one sportsbook generally has better odds than another, it’s important to shop around to make sure you’re getting the best value. You can also use our Saints odds comparison tool above to see who currently has the best Saints lines and odds.

Do the Saints usually cover the spread?
In 2021, the Saints went 9-8-0 against the spread—which means you would just about break even if you bet them to cover each week when accounting for the vig. Regardless, a lot changes from year to year and last season’s results typically aren’t a good indicator of the current season.

Do the Saints usually go Over or Under?
In 2021, the Saints went 7-10-0 on totals (7 Over, 10 Under, 0 pushes). Again, this doesn’t mean much for the current season so keep an eye on how they do early in the season to get a gauge how the offense and defense are performing.

Do the Saints have a good chance of winning Super Bowl LVII?
While it’s certainly not impossible, we don’t expect the Saints to be serious contenders for Super Bowl LVII. While Jameis Winston can put up astronomical numbers in any game, he tends to be very streaky, making it hard to string together enough wins to make it to the Super Bowl.

What promo code do I need to use to get the Saints betting offers?
Most sportsbooks don’t require special promo codes to access the sign-up bonus. If one is required, we indicate it in the promo cards above. Most often, you’ll be set as long as you use our exclusive links which you can see in our New Orleans Saints Sports Betting Promo Codes Guide.

Which states have legal sports betting?
New states are constantly joining the U.S. sports betting market. Check out our guide to states with legal sports betting to see the most up-to-date information. Note that Louisiana does have legal sports betting (see our picks for the best Louisiana sportsbooks here).
