The Denver Broncos are one of the most interesting teams of the 2023 NFL season after bringing Sean Payton on as Head Coach who hopes to help turn around Russell Wilson after a terrible 2022 season.

Types of Denver Broncos Bets

Before you open a sports betting account to take advantage of one of the Broncos promo codes available, let's take a look at the most popular type of bets that you can make:

Broncos Moneyline Bets

Moneyline bets are the simplest type of bet since you're just picking who will win the game. For example, you may place a moneyline wager on the Broncos to beat the Raiders.

Though moneyline bets are simple, you need to know how to read betting odds in order to understand the sportsbook's estimated probability of a team winning. For example, if you think the Broncos have a 60% chance of beating the Raiders and the sportsbook gives an implied probability of 48%, then it may be a smart wager.

Broncos Spread Bets

Spread bets are the most common type of sports bet, and the NFL and Broncos are no exceptions. With spread bets, each team is “given” a certain number of points or has a certain number of points “taken away” from its final score. This helps make the game more even.

For example, if the Broncos are -2.5 points against the Chargers (+2.5), then the Broncos would have to win by 3 or more in order for the bet to win.

On the other hand, if the Broncos are +6.5 against the Chiefs (-6.5), then the Broncos would have to lose by 6 points or less OR win the game in order to cover the spread.

Broncos Total (Over/Under) Bets

Another very popular type of sports wager is a total bet—often also called Over/Under bets.

With total bets, you decide whether the final score of the game will be higher or lower than a number the book sets—aka the total.

Let’s illustrate with an example: Say the Broncos are playing the Seahawks and the total is set at 48. If the final score is Broncos 27 – Seahawks 17, then the Under would hit since the combined score would be 44. If the score was Broncos 28 – Seahawks 24, then the Over would hit with a combined score of 52.

If you think Russell Wilson is going to have a field day picking apart the Seahawks' defense (that sounds weird to say after all these years), then you may decide to bet the Over. Or, if you think it's going to be a defensive battle, betting the Under may be the right call.

Broncos Prop Bets

While they aren't as popular as the bet types listed above, there are countless prop bets available for each game and, because there are so many of them, they provide a chance to find good value.

With prop bets, you are betting on something other than the final score of the game. There are two types: game props and player props.

With game props, you bet on things like who will score first, if the combined final score will be odd or even, how many turnovers there will be, and if there will be a safety.

With player props, you bet on the individual statistics of a player. For example, you may bet on Javonte Williams to have over 75 rushing yards or for him to run a TD. Alternatively, you may decide to bet on Patrick Surtain II to have an interception or Bradley Chubb to record a sack.

Broncos Futures Bets

Futures bets are bets on things like season-end awards like MVP and who will win a division, conference, or the Super Bowl.

When it comes to the Broncos, specifically, futures bets include them winning the AFC West, AFC Championship, or Super Bowl; if their win total will be above or below a certain number; and one of the players to win an individual award such as MVP or Rookie of the Year.

For example, if you think Russell Wilson will have a huge first season with the Broncos, you may bet him to win MVP. Or, if you think Bradley Chubb is going to take the next step as a defensive stud, maybe you bet him to win Defensive Player of the Year or to lead the league in sacks.
