NFL Week 15 & NCAAF Week 16 Best Bets & Picks

We got back to profitability last week, going 3-2 on our best bets. We now stand at 57-42 (57.6%) on the season, including 16-9 (64%) on our picks of the week.

Let's keep it rolling with 4 picks for this week's NFL and college football games. There aren't many college games on, so we only have one pick, but we'll be back to our normal amount when bowl season starts picking up next week.

Be sure to compare the lines and odds before placing your bets to find the best deal currently available.

New York Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars UNDER 40.5 – 1 pm ET on FOX

In a battle for draft position, this is a game that neither team really wants to win.

The Jaguars have struggled without QB Trevor Lawrence. They are averaging just 10.75 points per game in the 4 games Mac Jones has started.

The Jaguars are 28th in offense, while the Jets are barely ahead of them in offense ranked 27th.

The Jets do have a good defense, ranked 4th, giving up just 306.8 yards per game.

The Jaguars’ defense has shown significant improvement in recent weeks. They did not give up a touchdown last week to Tennessee, and earlier in November, they also held the Vikings to no touchdowns.

Look for both teams to struggle to crack the 20-point mark and play this game UNDER 40.5.

Carolina Panthers -2.5 vs. Dallas Cowboys – 1 pm ET on FOX

The Panthers are deservedly the favorites when they host the Cowboys on Sunday.

First, this is a tough scheduling spot for the Cowboys, coming off a Monday night heartbreaker that basically ended their playoff hopes. Now they have to try and get motivated to play a 3-10 Panthers team.

The Panthers' 3-10 record does not tell the story of how much better a football team they have been since they reinserted Bryce Young into the starter role.

They have lost their last 3 games by a combined total of 12 points to some of the best teams in the NFL including the Chiefs and Eagles.

Young has completed nearly 60% of his passes and has thrown 7 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions in his 5 games back in as QB1.

Look for the Panthers to take advantage of an injured and deflated Cowboys team on Sunday and get the win and cover.

NFL Pick of the Week: Detroit Lions -2.5 vs. Buffalo Bills – 4:25 pm ET on CBS

This is a great scheduling spot for the Lions, coming off a mini-bye week following another Thursday night game.

Now they face a Bills team that will be playing a second consecutive road game and traveling back across the country following a loss to the Rams that really hurt their chances of getting home field advantage in the playoffs.

The Bills' defense has shown some cracks in recent weeks, which is not a good sign when going up against the Lions’ explosive offense. The Bills have allowed over 24 points per game in their last 5 games and the Lions are putting up 35 points per game at home this year.

Look for the Lions to be able to outscore the Bills and keep their momentum going on Sunday at home.
