NFL Week 17 & College Football Bowl Games Best Bets
Miami -3.5 vs. Iowa State – 3:30 pm ET on ABC
Miami has the travel advantage in this one as the game is being played in nearby Orlando, FL.
The good news for Miami is that, despite them missing the playoff, it appears they will have QB Cam Ward for their bowl game.
With Ward, Miami was the top offense in the nation this year, averaging 538.3 yards per game. Iowa State, on the flip side, is averaging only 416.3 yards per game.
On defense, Iowa State really struggles against the run, allowing 179 yards per game on the ground.
Neither team has many opt-out issues, so with both teams being nearly full strength, the advantage clearly goes to Miami.
Look for them to score as many points as needed to get the win and cover Saturday.

NCAAF Pick of the Week: Colorado -3.5 vs. BYU – 7:30 pm ET on ABC
Deion Sanders will have his team fully motivated for this one and, thanks to a very large insurance policy, will have his best players on the field in Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and QB Shedeur Sanders.
BYU has to be disappointed with the way the season ended. They dropped 2 of their final 3 games and missed the BIG 12 Championship game after being in playoff consideration for a while.
These teams play in the same conference but did not meet in the regular season. However, they did have 7 common opponents. Colorado had a 119-point differential against those 7 opponents, compared to just a 70-point differential for BYU.
Look for Colorado to make one final statement to close out the season and get the win and cover Saturday night.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans UNDER 39.5 – 1 pm ET on CBS
Welcome to another late-season game where neither team really wants to win in the battle for a better draft position.
These are two bad offensive teams, ranking 26th and 27th in the league in yards per game, so points will be at a premium.
The Jaguars offense has really fallen off since Mac Jones took over at QB. They are averaging only 13.67 points in their last 6 games.
The last time these two teams met, just 3 weeks ago, they combined for just 16 points.
I don’t expect this game to be much different. Look for both teams to struggle to score, as this one will stay comfortably under.

Philadelphia Eagles -7 vs. Dallas Cowboys – 1 pm ET on FOX
The Eagles will most likely be without QB Jalen Hurts as he has been unable to clear concussion protocol yet, so we are getting a little discount on the spread as a result.
However, the Eagles will be very motivated to win this game and wrap up the #2 seed so they can rest all the starters next week before their playoff journey begins in the wildcard round.
The Eagles’ defense will lead the way against a Dallas team that has no motivation after being eliminated from the playoff race and has opted to shut down star WR CeeDee Lamb for the year. The Philly defense is best in the league, and backup QB Cooper Rush will struggle without his best offensive weapon.
The Eagles, meanwhile, still have their best offensive weapon in RB Saquon Barkley. Look for him to shoulder the load Sunday and carry the Eagles to a cover and the #2 seed in the NFC.

NFL Pick of the Week: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8 vs. Carolina Panthers – 1 pm ET on CBS
Tampa Bay knows this is a must-win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and they will not overlook the Panthers in this one, given that the Panthers almost pulled the upset earlier this season when these two teams met.
The Bucs have done well at home against the Panthers in recent years, winning the last 4 games in Tampa by an average of 11.75 points per game.
The Panthers have the worst run defense in the NFL, while Tampa has the 7th-best rushing offense. Stopping the run will clearly be a major issue for Carolina.
Offensively overall, Tampa is 3rd in the league, while Carolina is 30th.
Look for the Bucs to score plenty of points and win this one comfortably on Sunday.
