bet365 is one of the world’s biggest gambling companies, offering sportsbooks and casinos in over 40 countries.

While their presence isn’t as big in the U.S. as it is in many of those countries, bet365 has quietly expanded to Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia after launching in New Jersey in 2018.

I currently rate bet365 as the third-best sportsbook in the U.S., trailing only FanDuel and Caesars. If bet365 is eligible in your state, you should definitely have it downloaded.

bet365 shines when it comes to offering competitive odds, an easy-to-use and functional app, and unmatched market depth.

There are only a few downsides with bet365. To start, prop odds aren’t as competitive for some sports. In addition, there are a few minor things that annoy me with the app, like not being able to see parlay odds without being logged in (making it harder to shop for the best payout).

Overall, bett365 is a phenomenal option for bettors in AZ, CO, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, NJ, NC, OH, PA, TN, and VA. While we generally recommend using multiple sportsbook apps so you can shop for the best lines and odds, bet365 should be on your shortlist of options if you only want to use one.

bet365 Bonus Code & Welcome Offer

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 15/15

After signing up at bet365, you can choose between two welcome bonuses.

The first is a bet $5, get $200 deal, where a $5+ wager within 30 days nets you $200 in bonus bets.

Alternatively, the First Bet Safety Net secures your initial wager with up to $1,000 in bonus bets if it doesn’t hit.

No bet365 bonus code is required for either offer, just sign up using our exclusive link.

Here's how to get the bet365 welcome offer:

  1. Go to the bet365 site.
  2. Sign up by entering your personal information. You can leave the bonus code section blank.
  3. Claim the offer you want from the Promos page.
  4. Make a deposit of $10 or more.
  5. Make your first bet of $5 or more on an event with -500 or longer (-110, +150, +400, etc.). Make sure to place your bet on an event that will end within the next 30 days.
    1. Note that this will be the first bet that counts for the First Bet Safety Net if you choose that option, so be sure to bet as much as you want to count for that.
  6. Once your bet settles, you'll receive $200 in bonus bets in your account if you've chosen the bet & get option. If you opted for the safety net, then a refund of up to $1,000 will kick in if your first bet loses.

How it stacks up

bet365's sign-up bonus is one of the best betting offers. We even ranked it as one of the best New Jersey sportsbook promos currently available.

It only requires a $5 bet to receive $200 in bonus bets. This Bet & Get offer is a much smaller upfront commitment than other online sportsbooks.

It's a nice touch that they provide bettors the flexibility to choose from two different welcome offers.

bet365 Odds Competitiveness

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 19.5/20

Overall, bet365 odds are as competitive as they come. When it comes to the big three bets—moneylines, spreads, and totals—they often have the best or close to the best lines among all major sportsbooks.

After analyzing bet365 odds across various sports and thousands of games, my research shows they charge vig well below 5%, which is highly competitive.

For moneylines specifically, the games I analyzed had an average vig of 4.24%, much lower than other betting sites.

bet365 generally sticks to 20-cent lines (average of -110 odds on 50/50 bets) for spreads and totals in most major sports, except MLB, where they sometimes move into 30-cent lines.

Prop bets typically have 30-cent lines, which is standard, except in some special situations where they have 40-cent lines.

While bet365 has fantastic odds, they don't always have the best for every market. That's why I recommend using them (as I do with every sportsbook) in a rotation with other apps so you can shop for the best lines and odds.

Here are some sportsbooks that have equally strong or better odds than bet365:

  1. FanDuel: 21/20 (I gave them a bonus point for having the best odds of all books)
  2. Sporttrade: 20/20
  3. ESPN BET: 19.5/20

App & Website User Experience – My Takeaways

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 13/15

You can bet through bet365 through its website or mobile app (iOS & Android). The app/website will verify your location to ensure you are located in one of the states where it operates. You may be required to download an application to your computer so it can verify your location to use the website.

Note that you don’t have to be a resident of one of the states where bet365 is legal to use the app; you just must be physically located there to place wagers.

Like most other bet365 users I know, I primarily use the mobile app rather than the website, so my opinions are mostly based on that.

However, the website is pretty much exactly the same as the app except on a bigger screen. Some menus are moved around, and the betslip works slightly differently, but most of what I say below should also apply to that.

Overall, the bet365 mobile app is very simple and easy to use. While it doesn't have the same visual appeal as FanDuel and Caesars, it's easy enough to find what you're looking for and place your bets.

The homepage feels a bit cluttered, much like Fanatics Sportsbook. There are a lot of cards, carousels, and other design features that make it chaotic. I typically just click into the sports I'm interested in, however, so this isn't a big deal.

I also find the gray-based theme a bit hard to read compared to other books that use a white or black background with highly contrasting text.

In addition, it's not intuitive that the odds shown for spread, totals, and moneyline wagers are buttons since they are all just in one box with no real separation.

bet365 MLB

In terms of menus, the one at the top that highlights popular sports and other options is pretty helpful. It makes it easy to jump to the part of the app that you need. The bottom menu lets you quickly jump back to the homepage, A-Z Sports menu, in-play game, search the app, and see your bets.

bet365 Sportsbook A-Z Menu
A-Z Menu

The bet slip functionality is pretty straightforward. Once you select a bet, it will go to the bet slip that will pop up towards the bottom of the screen. From there, you can decide to place straight bets and/or parlays. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you can automatically place teasers or round robins from the bet slip.

Here are some other screenshots of the bet365 app that can help you get a better idea of what it looks like (click to expand):

Stability

In the past, bet365 seemed to have issues with the app crashing, getting logged out frequently, and having problems with verifying location.

It seems, however, that those issues have been resolved. In our latest round of testing, we haven't run into any of those problems.

On both the app and website, bet365 runs smoothly with out any issues. Pages load quickly and there is no delay in placing bets.

Sports & Betting Markets

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 7.5/7.5

If you value variety in a sportsbook, you'll love bet365. They pack a robust betting portfolio, with countless sports and markets to choose from.

What Sports You Can Bet On

bet365 offers comprehensive coverage, with odds on over 26 traditional sports, plus extras like e-sports and virtual sports.

Here's the full sports selection at bet365:

  • Australian Rules
  • Badminton
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Beach volleyball
  • Boxing
  • Cornhole
  • Cricket
  • Cycling
  • Darts
  • Field hockey
  • Football
  • Formula 1
  • Golf
  • Handball
  • Hockey
  • Lacrosse
  • MMA
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker
  • Soccer
  • Table tennis
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Water polo

If you saw Cornhole on the list and thought it was a typo—it's not. It's actually a real sport, and bet365 has odds for it. They also cover sports like beach volleyball, field hockey, and water polo, which are hard to find in other U.S. sportsbooks.

bet365 lists sports competitions differently than most. Instead of using dropdowns in the main A-Z listing, they display competitions right on the main betting screen under the bet boost section. It can sometimes look like they don’t have much for a particular sport, but you just need to scroll down a bit.

Here are two other sportsbooks that load up on sports like bet365:

bet365 Market Variety

Market variety is one of bet365's most underrated features. It's often overshadowed by its other fantastic features.

When it comes to game and team props, they're one of the few who can compete with FanDuel, and their futures selection is a notch above everyone else’s.

Props

bet365 offers an impressive variety of prop bets across game, team, and player categories. This applies to all major sports. Here's a look:

  • NBA: NBA prop fans have plenty to choose from, with 20+ player props and just as many game and team props for each matchup. One of my favorites is the 1st quarter milestones, where if you know which players like to come out swinging, you can capitalize on it. You can also find options like a player to score the first basket, the team with the highest-scoring quarter, and more.
  • MLB: bet365 offers more innings props than any other sportsbook I know, including FanDuel. They feature unique markets like “Strikeout on the Side,” “Any Batter to Reach Base in the Top of the 1st,” and bets on whether or not there will be a hit in the bottom of the 1st.
  • NHL: Their player-scoring prop derivatives stand out among the many props available for ice hockey. You can bet on things like whether the right wing will score multiple goals or if they’ll score in the first period. They also offer some cool game props, like the time of the first score and betting on whether the team that scores the first goal will end up winning the game.
  • NFL: Whether you want to bet Over/Under on a player’s yards (passing, rushing, receiving), whether someone will have a sack or not, or the first TD scorer, bet365 has you covered. They offer a deep selection of NFL props, including alternate lines for most stats and milestone bets like “player to record 100+ receiving yards”.
  • Other sports: bet365 is second to none regarding prop diversity in non-major sports that are popular outside of America, like tennis, F1, and soccer. It's the only sportsbook that offers tennis prop lines for stat categories like the number of breaks, aces, and double faults. They also have dozens of Formula 1 props for each race, covering total classified drivers, whether there’ll be a red flag, and when a safety car will be deployed.

bet365 is easily one of the top four sportsbooks regarding prop variety. The others are:

  • FanDuel: 5/5 for player and game props
  • DraftKings: 5/5 for player and game props
  • BetMGM: 5/5 for player and game props

Futures

bet365’s creativity with props extends right into their futures bets. Along with the standard championship, conference, and division winner odds, they have a jaw-dropping selection of derivatives, such as:

  • Most assists in an NBA playoff series
  • Player to hit the most threes in an NBA game
  • Player to grab the most rebounds in an NBA day
  • MLB season league number 1 seed
  • To join the 30-30 club in the MLB
  • Season-long stats props in the NFL
  • Road wins in an NHL playoff series

If you navigate to a specific competition and open the futures tab, you might not see all the options unless you go through the sport. For example, when I went directly into the NBA, only the winner odds appeared. But when I accessed basketball and futures, the full range showed up.

For niche sports and secondary markets like Formula 1, golf, and boxing, bet365 has a wealth of futures markets, more than any other book. Here’s what’s on tap for these sports:

  • Fighter punches thrown in boxing
  • Both fighters get knocked down in boxing
  • Rider to win 5+ stages in cycling
  • Scorer after four legs in darts
  • Highest checkout in darts
  • The winner from the final pair on Sunday in golf
  • Will there be an albatross in golf
  • Number of drivers to finish on the lead lap in NASCAR
  • Driver to win 15+ races in a season in Formula 1

bet365 also offers a “request a bet” option. If you have a specific futures bet in mind that isn't listed on their site, you can contact them and request that they set lines for it.

If you’re looking for sportsbooks as creative with futures bets as bet365, check out these options:

  • FanDuel: Unique NFL draft specials
  • Caesars: NBA championship exacta (exact winner+runner-up combo)
  • BetMGM: Highest scoring game on a given day in the NHL

Live Betting

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 5/5

Live betting is the most popular form of sports betting (the data backs this up), and we tend to take it for granted since all sportsbooks offer it. Well, bet365 was the first to get the ball rolling.

In the 20 or so years they’ve been offering live betting, their platform has grown exponentially, and I think it's one of, if not the best in the business. Here are some of its best features:

  • Fantastic market depth: It may not have as many in-play options as pre-game ones overall, but there are still plenty, including some that aren’t available pre-game. For instance, in tennis, you can find the unique “Next Two Games—Either Game to Deuce” bet, which no other sportsbook offers and bet365 doesn’t have in its pre-game options.
  • Strong sports variety: Given their extensive sports coverage overall, it's no surprise they have over ten live sports available for betting almost any time.
  • Top live streaming service: bet365 offers live streaming for many sports and a high-quality service with minimal latency. However, you must have a running bet to access the service.
  • Micro markets: With bet365, you can bet on granular moments like the next play, drive, basket scorer, or point winner in tennis.
  • Live SGPs: You can create same-game parlays for live games, which means bundling multiple picks from one game.
  • Top functionality: bet365 is fast, really fast. And timing is key in live betting. Besides speed, their live betting interface is intuitive, letting you select bet types for a specific sport before entering a game, giving you a quicker way to view and browse options.

Overall, bet365 scores a flawless 5/5 in live betting for me.

Three other sportsbooks that also earn a perfect rating are:

bet365 Reviews from Customers

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 4.5/5

The bet365 app has some of the best customer reviews of any sportsbook I've reviewed.

In the Apple App Store, it has an average customer rating of 4.8 from nearly 100,000 reviews. The Android version of the app also boasts a high 4.6 rating in Google Play.

It is worth noting that on Trustpilot, bet365 has a 1.3 rating out of 5 from over 3,500 reviews.  However, many of these complaints are about apps in other countries, which isn't the focus of this bet365 review.

While there are certainly customers who are happy with the bet365 app experience, some common complaints continually pop up in reviews, including:

  • Constant logouts: Users report getting logged out frequently, even when leaving the app momentarily.
  • Location verification issues: Many customers mention trouble with location verification, as discussed in a Reddit thread.
  • Payment concerns: Some users accuse bet365 of not paying winnings promptly, citing stalled withdrawals in another Reddit thread.

bet365 provides a diverse banking mix, offering payment solutions like e-wallets, debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and prepaid vouchers. You can also deposit and withdraw in person at one of their partner venues.

Odds Boosts, Promotions, & Loyalty Program

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 7.5/10

bet365 knows how to keep bettors in the game, offering various daily odds boosts and ongoing promos. They also have a loyalty program, though it’s only for other aspects of their operation, like poker.

Odds Boosts

Unlike most online sportsbooks, bet365 doesn't have a specific odds boosts section that shows all the options available for that day. Instead, you must click into a sport and look for the “Bet Boost” button.

There are typically 6+ odds boosts available for each sport, much more than any other sportsbook. That adds up to over a hundred daily odds boosts—pretty impressive.

Bettors might balk at the fact that bet365's odds boosts focus mainly on same-game parlays, typically ranging from +250 to +500. However, bet365 also boosts the odds for more achievable outcomes.

For example, they bumped the odds from +120 to +137 for Khris Middleton to score 20+ points, dish out 5+ assists, grab 5+ rebounds, and hit more than 3 three-pointers. This boost came in a game where key players like Lillard and Antetokounmpo were sidelined with injuries, making it a realistic bet.

When it comes to the sheer number of odds boosts, bet365 is way ahead of other sportsbooks. But other sites shine in this area:

Promotions

Aside from the parlay boosts and sign-up bonus, bet365 has other promotions for customers to take advantage of, with insurance promos being their calling card. Here are some examples of promos that bet365 is currently running or has run in the past:

  • Early payout offer: If your team scores a certain number of points, your individual bets and that leg of parlays, including that game, will be marked as winners (NBA = 20 points, NHL = 3 goals, NCAA Basketball = 18 points, Soccer = 2 goals, Baseball = 5 runs).
  • No score tie offer: Get your money back if a soccer match you bet on ends with no score.
  • Soccer substitute guarantee: If a player you placed a player prop wager on is substituted before half-time in a soccer game, get your money back in site credit.
  • Multi-sport parlay bonus: Get the odds on your multi-sport parlay boosted by as much as 70%.
  • Daily lineups: This is a freeroll bet365 launched as they dove into the DFS game. Here, you assemble your dream team, just like in a typical daily fantasy lineup, and compete across sports like football, basketball, baseball, and golf. Players score points based on their real-world performances. You could score bonus bets or cash prizes if your lineup crushes it.

Loyal Program

bet365 features a loyalty program, but it’s for poker and casino, not sports betting.

bet365 Background

bet365 boasts a rich history and a massive global presence. It was founded in 2000 in England by businesswoman Denise Coates and quickly became one of the global pioneers in iGaming.
