PointsBet is an Australian sportsbook that flew its product across the pond for the first time in 2019 when it launched in New Jersey. Since then, the brand has expanded into virtually every state in the U.S. that has legalized sports betting, including Colorado, which officially became the fifth state to host PointsBet.
This guide goes over the PointsBet CO promo code that you can use to get the sign-up bonus, the pros and cons of PointsBet, how competitive the odds are, and everything else you need to know to decide whether PointsBet is right for you.
PointsBet Colorado Promo Code & Sign-Up Bonus
Unlike most other sportsbooks in the state, PointsBet CO offers not one but ten second chance bets of $100 each for new customers, totaling $1,000 in second chance bets.
There is no PointsBet Colorado promo code required while signing up to receive the sign-up offer.
If your first fixed-odds bet loses, PointsBet will refund your wager up to $100 in bet credits. Then, each day after that for the next 9 days, you'll receive a new Second Chance Bet of $100 that is good for that day only.
You have 7 days to use each bet credit once it hits your account and there are no odds restrictions on what you're allowed to bet.

Important Information About the PointsBet CO Promo
PointsBet’s intro promo is one of the most unique and valuable currently available. While most other CO sportsbooks offer a single second chance bet as their welcome bonus, PointsBet gives five.
Here are some things to keep in mind with the PointsBet CO bonus:
- PointsBetting vs. Fixed Odds. The PointsBet Second Chance Bets are only eligible for fixed odds bets, not PointsBetting bets. PointsBetting is PointsBet’s unique betting system that allows you to win or lose more money depending on how far off the result is from what you chose. For example, if you bet the Broncos -6.5 and they end up winning by 10, you would win more than you would if they only won by 7. A fixed-odds bet is a standard bet and the payouts don’t change based on the result.
- Time to use Second Chance Bets. When you place your first bet, that is considered your first Second Chance Bet and is Day 1 of your 10 days of Second Chance Bets. Each day after that, your first bet for that day is considered the Second Chance Bet, but if you don't place any bet that day, you forfeit the bonus.
- Time to Use Bonus Bets. You must use the bet credits (if you get them) within 7 days. This may sound like a short period, but it’s more than enough to explore the operator's various sports and betting markets.
- Playthrough Requirement. There is only a 1x rollover requirement on the PointsBet bet credits, so you only need to wager them once before you can cash out the winnings generated from them. Note that you’ll only be able to withdraw the winnings stemming from bonus bets since the stake will be deducted from the total sum.
- Eligible markets. There don’t seem to be any restrictions on either the second chance or bet credits in terms of odds or eligible markets.
PointsBet Colorado Background & Quick Review
PointsBet put pen to paper with Double Eagle Hotel & Casino in Cripple Creek in 2019 in a deal contingent on voters' approval of Proposition DD, which aimed at legalizing sports betting in the Centennial State. The initiative passed with one of the closest margins of votes when sports betting laws are concerned nationwide, with 50.8% of the voters backing it.
The expansion into the Colorado market was momentous for PointsBet and their partners for reasons other than mere expansion. A newly-refurbished 2,200-square foot sportsbook was opened in Double Eagle, as well as a 17,000-square foot office in Denver's Lower Downtown serving as PointsBet’s headquarters for the entire U.S. division.
PointsBet checks in at the top of our list of the best sportsbooks in Colorado thanks to the remarkable intro promo, regular promotions for existing players, daily odds boosts, great user experience, and fast payouts.
The unique PointsBetting system also is something that no other sportsbook offers that many users love.
The rest of this PointsBet CO review will cover all the important details about the book, including bonuses, payment methods, markets, and more.

PointsBet Colorado Odds Competitiveness
PointsBet regularly offers the most competitive odds for all sports that we've analyzed.
You can expect to see the standard -110 odds on most spread and total bets as well as competitive moneyline odds. You can learn more about how to read betting odds here.
Still, it's always smart to use at least a few sportsbooks so you can shop around for the best odds. This doesn't take much time but is important to become a profitable sports bettor over time.
PointsBet CO Odds Boosts, Promotions, & Rewards Program
We would be remiss if we failed to mention the reduced juice, odds boosts, refer-a-friend, and other promotions and sports betting goodies existing PointsBet customers can explore.
Here’s a closer look at all the ongoing promotions:
PointsBet CO Odds Boosts
PointsBet has its own line of odds boosts dubbed Booster Odds which increase the odds for specific markets by 10% to 20%. About 5 boosts are available daily on major sports such as the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, and others.
The rule of thumb is: the riskier the bet, the bigger the enhancement, so for some team or player props, you'll see the odds go from +240 to +300 or higher, for example.
Special odds boosts for parlay wagers are also available daily with no limits and no max payout caps.
PointsBet CO Promotions
PointsBet recurring promotions for both new and existing users have significant value. Here are some of the past bonuses we’ve seen:
- 2x Parlay Boosts: There are typically two parlay boosts every day in PointsBet CO, one for a regular parlay with 3+ legs and another for a single-game parlay.
- PointsBetting with No Juice: PointsBet often reduced the vig (or “juice”) on PointsBetting markets.
- $50 Refer-a-Friend: For every friend you refer, PointsBet will give you both $50 in site credit once your friend wagers at least $20 in real-money bets.
Here are a few promos that the operator has run in the past:
- Parlay Boost. Put three or more selections on your parlay or same game parlay and receive better odds.
- Refer a Friend. Spread the word about PointsBet and get a $100 bonus bet for every person who joins through your referral link.
- Same Game Parlay Insurance. Receive up to $25 back if only one of your 4+ leg same game parlay selections loses.
- No Juice PointsBetting. Selected PointsBetting markets come with no vig or juice, allowing you to win at the best possible odds.
- Sunday Night Football Bonus Bet. The first bet you make on Sunday Night Football is bonus and will reimburse you up to $20.
PointsBet Rewards Program
The moment you join PointsBet, you’ll automatically enroll in its PointsBet Rewards program, through which you earn points for every wager you place. Every $5 in fixed-odds bets generates 1 Rewards point, which is also what you get for every $1 you wager on parlays and PointsBetting.
You can exchange the Rewards points for bonus bets, and each point has a value of $0.01, so you need 100 Rewards points to get $1.

As you can see, PointsBet CO has a plethora of sports and betting markets to offer, including all the top-flight professional competitions in the state, country, and the world. Collegiate sporting events across North America are also included.
The University of Colorado and PointsBet have signed what is believed to be the first major gambling deal between college athletics and a gambling company.
Speaking of Colorado teams, the PointsBet coverage for their events is exceptional. This isn’t surprising given that the operator is the official betting partner of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth via the agreement signed with the teams’ owners—Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.
- Denver Nuggets: Expect to find more than 200 betting markets for every fixture the Denver Nuggets play in the NBA, especially when the player and game props are concerned, such as when the first basket in the game will be scored and other such markets. The action tends to intensify greatly when the time comes for the playoffs, especially since Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets is often the #1 MVP candidate.
- Denver Broncos: With PointsBet, you can bet on your Denver Broncos all season long and exploit more than 100 betting markets for each game. Markets such as the time of the first touchdown or Russell Wilson’s passing yards are just some of the props found on the site.
- Colorado Avalanche: As an exclusive Colorado Avalanche betting partner, PointsBet makes sure it has the markets fans want. Moneylines, pucklines, totals, props, futures, you name it, all the bets are there. You can expect around 60 betting markets per game and even more when the battle for the Stanley Cup heats up.
- Colorado Rockies: Betting on the Colorado Rockies with PointsBet means having about 50 different markets to explore, from first five innings wagers to run lines, total strikeouts, and more.
PointsBet Sportsbook Colorado Types of Bets
PointsBet CO is famed for its unique PointsBetting system and its wide range of proposition bets. If you can think of a bet, PointsBet is likely to have it.
If not, you can use the Name A Bet option and name your bet for which PointsBet will give you the odds.
Here are some of the most common types of sports bets you can find in its lobby:
- PointsBetting
- Moneyline bets
- Game props
- Player props
- Totals (Over/Under)
- Spread bets
- Parlays
- Teasers
- Futures
- Round robin
- Alternate lines
- Live betting
When it comes to Colorado’s betting restrictions, there aren’t that many. You can bet on college sports freely, even on local teams, but no prop betting is allowed on college teams.
PointsBet CO Live Betting
Live betting on PointsBet is available for pretty much every event. However, it’s especially popular for football, basketball, hockey, and baseball games, covering a ton of special live markets such as period betting, race to points, next team to score, and more.
To see all the games and matches currently taking place, simply click on the menu in the top left corner and select Live, or tap the In Play button at the bottom of your mobile screen if you’re using the app.
If you’re indecisive on whether you should request an early cashout or wait things out, PointsBet allows for partial cashouts, something that is very unique (and very cool).
PointsBet CO Same Game Parlays
Following in the footsteps of FanDuel and other U.S. sportsbooks that popularized this option, PointsBet has made it possible to bet on the same game parlays.
These allow you to combine sides, totals, props, and other bets from the same game onto a single slip.
Unfortunately, this option is not available for every game or every sport, and you can only use it on games that have the same game parlay tab.
Signing Up for PointsBet Colorado
You don’t have to be a resident of one of the states where PointsBet operates to sign up, but you must be located in one to place bets. The only other restriction is that you must be at least 21 years old.
To sign up for an account, you’ll have to fill out some basic information including:

After filling out this information, you may be asked to upload a government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) to verify your identity.

PointsBet Colorado Sportsbook User Experience
PointsBet allows Colorado users to bet on both their desktop and mobile apps, both of which are easy to use.
The plain dark background with touches of red here and there hints at the designers' approach—keep things simple and intuitive, and focus on the betting product.
The navigation of the site and app is top of the line, with all the necessary details housed under the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the screen. With a few simple clicks or touches, you can find the games and markets you’re interested in.
From the main menu; you can access Quick Parlay and see all the live games for in-play betting opportunities.
PointsBet CO Website Experience
We have no complaints about the user experience on the PointsBet website. The site has a slick dark design and doesn’t overwhelm users with large banners and hundreds of buttons. Everything is simple, and to the point, so even beginner bettors can work their way around finding their targeted sports and markets or information about promotions.
PointsBet CO Mobile App Experience
PointsBet mobile app looks slightly different from the website, with all changes made with limited screen size in mind. The main menu is at the bottom, alongside shortcuts to Sports, In Play, Quick Parlay, and My Bets.
Adding bets to your slip is effortless, and once the bet slip pops up, you can choose how to handle your multiple selections (single bets, parlay, round-robin).
Each game you tap on will have two main tabs at the top, Fixed Odds and PointsBetting, with the Same Game Parlay tab available for select games.

PointsBet Colorado Background
Colorado voters gave sports betting a green light in a 2019 ballot. The taxation and further rules regarding sports betting and gambling overall, such as the creation of the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission under the Colorado Department of Revenue tasked with overseeing all gambling activities, were laid out in HB 19-1327.
After the legal groundwork for sports betting had been set, it officially kicked off on May 1, 2020. PointsBet managed to secure a license from the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission and launch its online and retail sportsbook in November 2020 through a partnership agreement with the Double Eagle Hotel & Casino in Cripple Creek.

There's a lot to like with PointsBet including the unique PointsBetting system, one of the best intro promos currently available, and a great user interface.
There are, however, some PointsBet alternatives that may be a better fit for you depending on what you're looking for.
Here are some options to consider:
- If you prefer lighter user interfaces: FanDuel
