It has reached a long-term agreement with Penn National Gaming and established a land-based partner in Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, where it hosts a retail sportsbook. PointsBet has also partnered with two professional sports teams in Indiana, the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.

New Jersey was the first state to welcome PointsBet in the US after a successful launch in January 2019. The operator also went live with an online casino in July 2021. Both its NJ land-based partners—Bally’s AC and Meadowlands Racetrack—host in-person betting kiosks where you can deposit and claim your winnings. 

Signing Up for PointsBet

You don’t have to be a resident of one of the states where PointsBet operates to sign up, but you must be located in one to place bets. The only other restriction is that you must be at least 21 years old.

To sign up for an account, you’ll have to fill out some basic information including:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Date of birth
  • Last 4 digits of Social Security number
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Password

After filling out this information, you may be asked to upload a government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) to verify your identity.
