Social sportsbooks are catching fire in the U.S., and Thrillzz is riding this new wave of sports betting. They started in 2024 and quickly rose the ranks. I have them as my third-best social sportsbook in the U.S.

Thrillzz differs from typical online sportsbooks because you can play completely for free. Because the platform operates under the sweepstakes model, no purchase is necessary to play and it is available in states even without legal sports betting.

There are two currencies you can use: Thrillzz Coins and Thrillzz Sweeps. Coins are just for fun, but if you win with Thrillzz Sweeps, you can redeem the profit for real prizes.

If you're in a hurry, here is my quick review of Thrillzz:

I like Thrillz's Squads feature and loyalty program. With Squads, you can make picks with your friends or compete against other users' selections. The loyalty program is also more engaging than most, with rewards for each level-up and points for sharing your picks. Their prop bet selection is impressive, and the welcome bonus is solid.

On the downside, Thrillzz odds simply aren't competitive with alternatives. They feature mostly 40-cent lines, which is steep even for a social sportsbook. The user interface also needs some work. It's often buggy and slow. Plus, the absence of same game parlays is a significant letdown.

Overall, Thrillzz is worth testing out if real-money sportsbooks aren't allowed in your state (think FanDuel and DraftKings). At the very least, you can claim the $3 free worth of Thrillzz Sweeps (use promo code ODDS100) and give yourself a chance at winning some real-money prizes.

Overall Rating

72/100

Thrillzz is my third highest-rated social betting app, trailing behind Sportzino and Fliff. Some positives include support, the loyalty program, and a diverse range of props bets. The poor odds, subpar UX, and lack of features weigh it down for me.

Odds

8/20

Offers 40-cent lines for most markets, but the odds can slide to 50 or 60 cents for props. These simply aren't competitive. Learn more.

Sign-Up Bonus

15/15

Thrillzz hands out a generous no-purchase bonus and a first-purchase bonus—a combo that's rare among sweepstakes platforms. Learn more.

User Experience

8/15

The user experience feels like using a mobile website rather than an app. It’s a bit slow, and these small delays are definitely noticeable. Learn more.

Promos & Boosts

4/10

Thrillzz has a couple of ongoing promos, like mail-in and daily bonuses. However, the absence of odds boosts is a big letdown. Learn more.

Features

2/7.5

I only gave Thrillzz some points here because of their Squads feature, which is unique among sweepstakes sportsbooks. Beyond that, it's bare bones, lacking basic features like Same Game Parlays (SGPs). Learn more.

Market Depth

6/7.5

The sports selection at Thrillzz is average, offering 10 sports to choose from. However, they do have a solid variety of props markets available. Futures are nowhere to be found. Learn more.

Customer Reviews

4/5

Thrillzz is still fairly new, so there isn't a lot of feedback out there yet. From the limited reviews I've found on Reddit, the comments are positive, especially praising their quick redemption times. Learn more.

Live Betting

3/5

Thrillzz offers in-play action for several sports with a good range of markets for each. Although they don't have live streaming, their play-by-play tracker picks up the slack nicely. Learn more.

Support

3/5

Thrillzz offers support through an on-site contact form and across several social media platforms, such as X, TikTok, and Snapchat. It would be a big plus if they could add live chat to these options. Learn more.

Limits

5/5

Thrillzz doesn't specify any maximum bet or win limits in its Terms and Conditions. Learn more.

Banking

4/5

Thrillzz features a decent selection of payment methods, and the minimum redemption threshold is a user-friendly $50. Learn more.

When reviewing Thrillzz, I had to adjust my usual way of rating sportsbooks, creating a combo system that takes a bit from both my standard sportsbook and my sweepstakes reviews. Recognizing it’s one of the few in this space, I added an extra 10 points for its novelty.

My Favorite Parts About Thrillzz

My Least Favorite Parts About Thrillzz

Thrillzz Odds Competitiveness

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 8/20

Thrillzz's current odds aren't competitive with other social sportsbooks, let alone traditional betting sites.

For the three key markets—moneylines, spreads, and totals—they often set lines at 40 cents or worse. This means you're getting an average of -120 on each side of a 50/50 bet or worse, which makes it very difficult to turn a profit. Most sportsbooks offer 20-cent lines (average of -110 on each side).

Sometimes, you might even find 56-cent lines for MLB moneylines, like +127 and -185, which is pretty brutal.

It gets even worse for prop bets, where they rarely offer better than 50-cent lines.

To put this in context, Legendz, our top-rated social sportsbook, typically offers around 18-cent lines. Sportzino, our runner up for the best social sportsbook, consistently offers 25-cent lines.

My advice? Pair Thrillzz with another social betting site to balance out these weaker odds. Or, if you’re in a state where traditional sports betting is legal, go with these sportsbooks for sharper odds:

  1. FanDuel: 21/20 (I gave them a bonus point for having the best odds of all books)
  2. DraftKings: 19.5/20
  3. bet365: 19.5/20

Thrillzz Sign-Up Bonus

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 15/15

Thrillzz offers a two-part sign-up offer that kicks off with a no-deposit bonus: you get 3,000 Thrillzz Coins and 3 Thrillzz Sweeps simply for registering with the promo code ODDS100. This initial offer is a great way to get a feel for the platform.

If you decide to purchase, you'll receive a 100% match bonus on any coin package up to $25. Four different packages are available at this price point, so you have options.

The Thrillzz welcome bonus is solid compared to other sweepstakes platforms. Apps like Fliff only give out 1 SC to new players, while others only offer either a big no-deposit or a first-purchase bonus—rarely giving players both.

These three competitors of Thrillzz also offer valuable welcome bonuses:

  • bet365: 15/15 for sign-up bonus in my sportsbook rating system
  • Sportzino: A king-sized no-deposit bonus
  • McLuck: Best first purchase bonus among sweepstakes platforms

You can compare Thrillzz’s welcome offer with traditional sportsbook sign-up bonuses here. Also, if you’re searching for no-purchase bonuses at sweepstakes casinos, our guide has all the latest freebies.

App & Website User Experience – My Takeaways

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 8/15

The UX feels more like you're using a mobile website than an app. It's noticeably sluggish when scrolling and clicking, often taking a fraction of a second longer to respond than you'd expect from an app.

I regularly have issues after placing a bet. The app randomly switches to a loading screen and gets stuck. When I go to hit the home button to escape, I get caught in a continuous loading loop.

While browsing, the app also crashes randomly, kicking me back to the Thrillzz start screen and making me relaunch it.

Another annoying thing is when you click into a game. The main betting lines (spread, total, moneyline) show up first, but a few seconds later, a game time popup appears. It’s super frustrating because I always accidentally hit it while trying to select one of the main lines to bet on.

Game Time Thing

The five buttons in the app's footer section streamline navigation, providing easy access to essential areas like the cashier, promotions, and the Squads feature.

While the betting interface is relatively user-friendly, with everything laid out in dropdowns, there's room for improvement.

A more detailed breakdown of prop bets into categories such as offensive and defensive props would minimize the need to scroll so much. I practically wore out my fingers scrolling to find the players' double-double category in an NBA game I bet on for this review.

Thrillzz Prop bet categorization

For examples of top-tier usability and better user experience than Thrillzz, take a look at these sites:

  • FanDuel: 15/15 for UX on my sportsbook rating system
  • Caesars: 15/15 for UX on my sportsbook rating system
  • Pulsz Casino: 5/5 for mobile experience on my sweepstakes rating system

Sports & Betting Markets

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 6/7.5

Thrillzz offers a decent selection of sports and many ways to make predictions. However, the lack of future markets is a big downside.

What Sports You Can Bet On at Thrillzz

At Thrillzz, you can make predictions on ten different sports. While this is half the number you'd find at conventional sportsbooks and a quarter of what Sportzino offers, it's still a solid lineup:

  • Basketball: NBA, WNBA
  • Baseball: MLB
  • Hockey:: NHL, AHL
  • Football: NFL, UFL
  • Soccer: UCL, EPL, MLS, Copa Libertadores, Liga MX, Serie A, Europa League, Conference League, EURO 2024, Copa America, La Liga, Copa Del Ray, Coppa Italia, Bundesliga, The Championship, Ligue 1, and more
  • Boxing/mma: UFC, boxing
  • Tennis: WTA/ATP events
  • Motorsports: F1, NASCAR
  • Golf: LIV, PGA

The range of competitions in each sport is solid, including mainstream options and lesser-known leagues.

If you're looking for sportsbooks with broader sports coverage, here are three of the best:

Thrillzz Sports lobby

Thrillzz Market Variety

Thrillzz offers a good mix of props markets but nothing at all when it comes to futures.

Props

Since Thrillzz doesn't have futures markets and operates as a social sportsbook, I initially thought I'd find only a few basic prop bets. However, I was wrong. Thrillzz boasts a nice collection of creative props across the major categories: player, game, and team.

Here’s a snapshot of the NBA game props they offer:

  • 1st half total points
  • Totals for 2-point shots made in a game
  • Away-team three-pointers made
  • The player steals and blocks
  • Player turnovers
  • Alternate game spreads
  • The first team to score

Although this is a decent lineup, it’s not as extensive as Sportzino's offerings and doesn’t quite compete with the variety provided by other top sportsbooks:

  • FanDuel: 5/5 for player and game props
  • bet365: 5/5 for player and game props
  • BetMGM: 5/5 for player and game props
NBA props

Futures

Oddly, Thrillzz doesn't include futures, a staple market on most social betting platforms. It's probably just a temporary oversight in their early development phase, and I'd expect them to roll out futures down the road.

If you're big on futures markets, definitely swing by Sportzino. They have a solid lineup of futures options.

Live Betting

Thrillzz has a live betting platform, but it's pretty underdeveloped. First, only a few sports are available for live bets.

Second, the odds are bad, possibly worse than the pre-match odds. It's not unusual to see 60-cent lines.

They're decent in terms of variety, and you can make picks in many different ways, including many prop bets.

While they don’t offer live streaming, they do provide a play-by-play tracker that can help you understand how the game is going.

I rated Thrillzz’s live betting 3 out of 5, and that feels like I'm being kind. If live betting is your thing, you might want to check out these sites if you can:

Thrillzz Reviews from Customers

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 4/5

There isn’t a ton of feedback on Thrillzz yet, which makes sense since they’re still pretty new and finding their footing.

The only Reddit thread I found had a few users who were happy with their experience. They especially praised the platform for its quick withdrawals and impressive prop bets.

It’s too early to fully gauge Thrillzz’s reputation in the social betting community, but the absence of significant complaints, like blocked payouts, is a good start.

Here are a few sportsbooks that also have a clean slate, like Thrillzz:

Deposits, Withdrawals, & Payout Speed

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 4/5

At Thrillzz, you don’t have to buy anything to play; that’s standard for sweepstakes platforms. Players regularly get topped up with coins for both fun and redeemable tokens.

The Thrillzz Sweeps—the coins you can cash out—are handed out in smaller batches. You can always purchase extra if you need more to keep the games going.

Before making any purchases at Thrillzz, you must go through a verification check. Importantly, this includes providing the last four digits of your SSN.

Redemptions

When you win using Sweeps Coins at Thrillz, you'll earn tickets with real redeemable value.

You need to collect at least 50 tickets before redeeming them, and the exchange rate is straightforward: 1 ticket equals $1.

The maximum number of tickets you can redeem daily at Thrillzz is 1,000.

For any redemptions over $600, there's a high likelihood that you'll need to undergo additional ID checks. This may involve sending in a government-issued photo ID and proof of address.

Odds Boosts, Promotions, & Loyalty Program

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 4/10

Thrillzz offers a great welcome bonus, but it needs to do more for its regular players. It has a few promotions and a loyalty program but needs to include odds boosts.

Odds Boosts

Typically, traditional sportsbooks dish out several odds boosts each day. This isn’t as common on social betting sites, but I've spotted occasional boosts at places like Sportzino.

Even though there’s talk online about Thrillz offering odds boosts, I’ve been checking for the last two weeks and haven’t seen any. It looks like they might only do it once a month if that.

These three betting sites knock it out of the park when it comes to odds boosts:

Promotions

I've noticed that social betting sites generally offer fewer perks for returning players than sweepstakes casinos, and Thrillzz is a perfect example.

You can regularly snag free coins, but the amounts are small. Here’s a look at the promotions they're running right now:

  • Daily login bonus: Thrillzz offers a daily login bonus featuring random prizes. I received 3,000 Thrillzz Coins and 3 Thrillzz Sweeps on my first day. By the third day, I had racked up 1,000 Thrillzz Coins and 15 loyalty points. I dig the mystery element, and the prizes are generous for this type of bonus.
  • Refer-a-friend: You can earn 0.2 Thrillzz Sweeps for every friend who signs up using your referral code. If your friend spends $20 or more, you’ll get an extra 20 Thrillzz Sweeps. You can refer up to 50 friends for the no-purchase necessary bonus and up to 10 for the spending bonus. The most you can earn through this word-of-mouth promotion is 210 Thrillzz Sweeps.
  • Mail-in: You can earn 2 Thrillzz Sweeps coins by mailing a 4” x 6” paper, written in blue ink, to Thrillzz’s address in Franklin, TN. Include your full name, username, email, and address on the envelope, along with a statement confirming participation.

Thrillzz is active on social media, yet it doesn't offer promo codes there, which is a bummer since most sweepstakes platforms usually hand out freebies this way. It would be great to have a dedicated promo section to quickly round up all its offers.

These three sweepstakes casinos offer many more promotions for returning players compared to Thrillzz:

Rewards Program

Thrillzz's loyalty program is a refreshing change from the multi-tier programs you usually see. These programs don't give you the exact details of the rewards, just vague promises of “personalized offers” or something along those lines.

Here, everything is straightforward: you know precisely how many coins you’ll get when you level up. For instance, when I hit level 2, I got 600 Thrillzz Coins and 0.05 Thrillzz Sweeps, and I'm looking forward to a bigger batch at level 3.

You earn loyalty points through promotions and when making or sharing picks.

First, it’s excellent that Thrillzz even has a loyalty program, as many sweepstakes platforms don't. Among those that do, few offer redeemable coins as rewards. The fixed prize for each level-up is a sweet extra.

These three sites also have great loyalty programs:

Thrillzz Features

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 2/7.5

Thrillzz is missing key features like live betting and live streaming, staples at most other sportsbooks. They're pretty new, so I'll cut them some slack for now, but hopefully, they'll get these rolled out soon.

What gives Thrillzz an edge, though, is their Squads feature. It boosts the community vibe and adds a fun layer of teamwork.

You can team up with your friends to form a squad or join an existing one to challenge random strangers with your picks. This adds a fun layer of teamwork and competition, especially with daily leaderboards showing off the top squads and players. It's all about making the correct sports picks to climb those leaderboards.

Just a heads-up: you can't just drop into any Squad; you need approval from the Squad’s creator before joining.

Here are three sportsbooks that pack a punch with innovative features:

How Thrillzz Stacks Up Against Other Social Sportsbooks

Here’s a quick look at how Thrillzz measures up to two top-tier social betting sites, Sportzino and Fliff.

Thrillzz vs. Sportzino

Sportzino is similar to a real-money sportsbook (though it runs on the sweepstakes model), while Thrillzz focuses more on fun competitions and community stuff. At Sportzino, you can bet on over 40 sports and they have a ton of futures markets, which Thrillzz doesn't offer.

Sportzino also has cool extras like odds boosts and social media giveaways, which Thrillzz misses.

Regarding odds, Sportzino leaves Thrillzz in the dust with lines that can compete with traditional sportsbooks.

Lastly, Sportzino is better equipped with features like live streaming and same-game parlays.

The bottom line is that Thrillzz has some catching up to match with Sportzino.

Thrillzz vs. Fliff

Thrillzz and Fliff have a lot in common.

First, Fliff is on par with Thrillzz regarding sports coverage, offering lines on eight sports.

Both of these sportsbooks are mobile-only. However, Fliff has a leg up with its standalone apps for iOS and Android, which are highly rated.

Thrillzz stands out by offering a no-purchase bonus for new signups, whereas Fliff only gives a bonus with the first purchase.

While I dig Thrillzz’s loyalty program, Fliff’s is a bit better, especially since you can redeem your loyalty points for actual cash.

I lean towards Fliff slightly more than Thrillzz, but the gap isn’t that big.

Thrillzz Background

Thrillzz was launched by Thrillzz Inc., a Denver-based company, in February 2024.

I looked them up on OpenCorporates and everything checks out. They're listed as “Good Standing.”

I also dug around some forums and didn’t find any red flags. Trust me, if there were any shady stuff going on, it would be all over those forums and spreading like wildfire.

Another plus: Thrillzz has a dedicated page for Responsible Gaming, even though it's a free platform.

Customer Support

ODDS ASSIST RATING: 3/5

If you hit a snag with Thrillzz, getting help is easy. Most of their contact options are open 24/7:
