If you want to convert between odds by hand (or with a calculator), you can use the following formulas:

Convert American Odds to Decimal:

  • Positive odds: 1 + (American Odds/100)
  • Negative odds: 1 – (100/American Odds)

Convert American Odds to Fractional: 

  • Positive odds: American Odds/100
  • Negative odds: -100/American Odds

Convert Fractional Odds to American:

  • Odds > 1: Fractional Odds x 100
  • Odds < 1: -100/Fractional Odds

Convert Fractional Odds to Decimal:

  • 1 + Fractional Odds

Convert Decimal Odds to American: 

  • Odds > 2: (Decimal Odds – 1) x 100
  • Odds < 2: -100/(Decimal Odds – 1)

Convert Decimal Odds to Fractional:

  •  Decimal Odds – 1
