Sleeper is a popular fantasy sports platform that offers DFS and season-long fantasy drafts for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and more. They just recently started offering Pick’em games, called Picks, where you can choose higher or lower on player stats and play against the house.

Sleeper is a cross between a DFS and a season-long fantasy platform that excels in both categories. Sleeper's best features lie in its flexibility and the number of customization options, as the app provides more advanced league creation settings than most of its competitors, as well as a variety of DFS games.

As a new player, you can take advantage of Sleeper’s 100% match deposit bonus of up to $500 using our exclusive Sleeper promo code ODDS100.

Our Sleeper review explains how to use the promo code to unlock the sign-up bonus and goes over pros and cons of the platform, deposit and withdrawal options, and more.

Sleeper Promo Code & Sign-Up Bonus

The Sleeper DFS welcome bonus is a 100% deposit match up to $500. To access the sign-up offer, you can use Sleeper promo code ODDS100 when signing up.

Only first-time depositors that are accessing the platform from available states can use this bonus. You can deposit up to $1,000 in a 24-hour period, but note that the bonus maxes out at $500, meaning if you deposit more than $500 you’ll only receive a $500 bonus.

Sleeper’s DFS promo is larger than most sign-up bonuses of the best DFS apps. The industry standard is a valuable 100% deposit match up to $100, and Sleeper's intro promo is five times bigger.

Sleeper Fantasy Review

Weixi Yen, Ken Wang, and Nan Wang founded Sleeper in San Francisco in 2014. At first, it was only an app to discuss daily fantasy football until the beta version of its own fantasy football contests launched in 2017, trying to rival ESPN and Yahoo.

Sleeper’s initial goal was to create a fantasy sports platform that’s more inclusive of casual fans, which is why they deliberately hired non-sports fans to design and work on the app. By 2019, the company raised over $7.3 million in funding and claimed an increase of 900% in user base following the launch of its beta.

Over the next few years, Sleeper expanded its season-long fantasy league offerings by adding the NBA and League of Legends to the mix. In 2022, they finally entered the daily fantasy space with NFL Daily Drafts and Picks, a pick 'em-style over/under game available for NFL and NBA games.

Players praise Sleeper’s customization abilities and flexibility in creating and managing yearly fantasy contests. User experience holds up well, from creating an account to setting up a league, even for people with no prior experience playing fantasy sports.

Sleeper carries on its expansion and adds more game formats and features to the platform. Although it remains focused on season-long fantasy football, it continues to diversify and experiment with new sports and formats. The operator recently included NBA fantasy and college basketball Bracket Mania games and is among the few fantasy sports apps to feature League of Legends.

While it used to be app-only, Sleeper is now fully available in browser format.

Sleeper Game Types

Sleeper offers several different game types for both DFS and season-long competitions.

Sleeper Daily Drafts

Daily Drafts are available throughout the NFL season. The drafts start automatically every five minutes and require a $1 entry fee. There can be up to eight participants per draft, and a CPU bot will step in if there are missing players.

The drafts feature a snake format, and each participant will have 15 seconds to make their pick, with the NFL roster containing one QB, one RB, two WR, one TE, and two FLEX.

At the end of the week, the participants are ranked based on the number of points accumulated by their drafted team, with the top three spots receiving a payout. A $1 contest will yield a $4 top prize, a $2 runner-up award, and a $1 third-place prize.

Once you draft your team, you will have 10 minutes to opt for an optional bonus contest, either in a head-to-head or group format.

The entry fees for H2H contests range between $5 and $1,000, offering top prizes from $9 to $1,800.

Group contests are similar to the regular daily draft, where you’ll enter a competition with seven other players for a fee between $5 and $100. The top three players from each group contest are awarded cash prizes, with the top prize being $420 for a $100 contest.

You can compete in up to 10 bonus contests with a single drafted lineup.

Sleeper Picks

Picks are an over/under game where you select a group of players and try to predict whether their stats will be higher or lower than a given number.

For instance, you could pick LeBron James to have over 20.5 points in a game against the Denver Nuggets as well as Nikola Jokic to have under 10.5 assists, and Anthony Davis under 22.5 points.

Picks are possible on a variety of statistical categories prior to or during any eligible NFL, NBA, MLB, or college game. You can pick two or more players, with more picks yielding higher rewards.

Payouts aren’t solely based on the number of legs like most other Pick’em sites. Instead, Sleeper Picks feature dynamic payouts, which means that the rewards are based on the likelihood of a pick hitting, similar to how sportsbooks have odds for each individual market. Each projection has an attached multiplier to it, and the total caps at 100x, the highest in the DFS market.

Sleeper Picks also has the Squads mode, where you can group up with your friends, copy each other’s picks, and win together.

Sleeper’s Picks game is very similar to the pick games offered by DFS sites like PrizePicks in all ways except that payouts vary based on which specific stats you include.

Sleeper Bracket Mania

Bracket Mania is an NCAA basketball pool where the challenge is to predict which teams will progress through the playoffs bracket. There can be up to 10,000 users in a pool, and each participant has the right to multiple entries.

Season-Long Drafts

Sleeper is primarily a platform for season-long fantasy. You can enter annual contests for the NFL, NBA, and League of Legends Championship Series. There are three game modes, including Redraft, Keeper, and Dynasty, with Snake, Linear, and Auction draft types.

Sleeper Sports Offered

Sleeper offers daily and season-long games across multiple sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and esports.

Daily drafts are limited to the NFL, while the Picks game involves players from the NFL, NBA, MLB, and college basketball. The Bracket Mania is available only for the NCAA March Madness tournament, while users can participate in season-long NFL, NBA, and League of Legends drafts.

How Much of a Cut Sleeper Takes

Sleeper takes rakes between 10% to 12.5% depending on the game. For instance, both players need to pay a $5 entry fee when entering an H2H contest, totaling $10, while the prize for the winner is $9, meaning that Sleeper takes a $1 cut or 10%.

In a regular daily draft contest, eight entrants must pay $1 each, totaling $8 in entry fees, while the prize pool is $7. Sleeper again takes a $1 cut, which this time equals 12.5%.
