In 2022, internet star Jake Paul and Simplebet founder Joey Levy launched Betr, a sportsbook app originally focused on microbetting.
Less than a year later in July 2023, the company launched its Picks product to compete with DFS Pick'em apps like PrizePicks and Underdog.
Betr Picks is now the most popular (and widely available) part of the app. This review will focus solely on Betr Picks.
With Betr Picks, you choose whether players will have more or less than their projected stats. If you hit all of your picks (or most of your picks in Dynamic Play mode), you win real money.
If that's unclear—don't worry—we'll go into more detail on how Betr Picks works later in this review.
The best parts of Betr Picks are the smooth user experience, wide selection of stats and sports, and the lack of pushes (since there are no half-point player stat projections).
On the downside, Betr Picks' payouts don't stack up to the competition for some entry sizes, the sign-up bonus is riskier than deposit matches that many competitors offer, and there is no way to play on desktop.

My Favorite Parts About Betr Picks
- Up to 10,000x payouts: Most Pick’em sites cap their payouts between 20x and 75x, but Betr now goes far beyond that. A perfect 7-pick entry can pay up to 10,000x, making it one of the highest potential payouts you’ll find anywhere in daily fantasy.
- Arguably the best user experience of DFS apps: It's easy to find the leagues, players, and stats you're interested in on Betr Picks—especially with the team logos and player pictures. I find that the app always loads fast and I haven't run into any bugs in my time playing.
- Wide selection of player stats: You'll find that Betr offers a wide variety of player stats to choose from. Whereas other DFS apps just offer points and a few other categories, Betr also lets you pick from things like assists, strikeouts, hits allowed, fantasy points, and much more.
- No pushes: If you've played DFS Pick'em apps enough, you know how annoying it is to have a leg in your entry push because it landed exactly on the stat projection. Well, that won't happen with Betr since they offer only half-point projections, meaning each pick will either win or lose.
- Promos for existing customers: The promotions don't end after you take advantage of the sign-up bonus. Betr regularly offers promotions to all customers, such as No Sweat entries that gives you your money back if your entry loses.
My Least Favorite Parts About Betr Picks
- Worse payouts for some entry sizes: Compared to payouts at other DFS Pick'em sites, Betr offers slightly worse payouts than at least one competitor for all entry sizes except 2 picks, 4 picks, and 5 picks with insurance (Dynamic Play mode).
- Bank transfer withdrawals take awhile: While PayPal and debit card withdrawals generally get completed in less than a day, bank transfer withdrawals can take up to 5 business days—a bit longer than competitors.
- Can't play on desktop: While I prefer using DFS apps as opposed to websites, if you prefer playing on desktop, you're out of luck when it comes to Betr as they currently only offer apps (iOS and Android).
Betr Picks Promo Code & Sign-Up Bonus
Betr Picks gives you a free pick each day based on whatever’s on the slate, usually in the form of a heavily discounted stat line. Think something like LeBron James over 0.5 points + assists, which is about as close to a sure thing as it gets.
They also give you a safety net on your first two entries. If either one loses, Betr refunds it in full up to $100.

Betr Picks Payouts
Here's a look at Betr's payouts based on entry size and whether you choose Perfect Play mode (all picks have to be correct) or Dynamic Play mode (1, 2, or 3 picks can lose and you can still win).
In the Dynamic Play column in the table below, the number outside the parentheses is the number of correct picks while the number inside is the payout.
Note that Betr also offers Boosted picks that increase your payouts even more than what are in the table below. Look for the yellow rocket ship icon to find these.

To get that juicy 10,000x payout, you have to include Boosted picks in your 7-pick entry. While we don't recommend solely playing these entries since they're so hard to win, it's definitely fun to put a dollar or two down every now and then.

Betr is on par with competitors for 4-pick entries but falls short of at least one for 2-pick (Underdog), 3-pick (Dabble), 5-pick (PrizePicks) entries.
For insured picks (Dynamic Play), Betr leads the pack for 5-pick entries.
With all that being said, we recommend using Betr Picks for 4-pick uninsured entries and 5-pick insured entries.
If you want to place an entry with a different amount of picks, you should at least compare the lines to competitors to see if you can get a better deal.
How Betr Picks Works
It's super easy to place entries with Betr Picks.
Once you're in the app, simply click the league you're interested in then choose the Games, Players, or Projections view to see available stats (I prefer the Games view but I know some people like to see all players or stats in one view).

From there, choose More or Less on at least two player's stats from two different teams to build your entry.
Once you're ready to lock it in, click. the View Entry button at the bottom of your app, enter the amount you want to risk, and submit it.
That's it! As I said, Betr Picks is super simple and easy to get the hang of—especially if you've used other Pick'em apps before.
Betr Picks has recently introduced Betr Duels, a new daily contest where users make side-by-side picks in a 4-player projection showdown. To participate, simply choose Club More or Club Less in the Featured Entry section, with a minimum entry of $1.
Winners earn the usual payout plus a portion of the daily Betr Bucks prize pool, which starts at $1,000. If no entry wins, the pool rolls over and grows by another $1,000 the following day.
Betr also launched Group Play, a peer-to-peer mode where your lineup competes on leaderboards against other players who submitted the same pick size. Each $1 segment of your entry is scored separately, and the highest scores on each board take home the prize.
Betr has rolled out its social sportsbook, a sweeps-style app where players across 25 states can make free picks, earn Betr Cash, and compete with friends.
Betr Picks Deposits, Withdrawals, & Payout Speed
It's easy to get your money in and out of Betr and payouts are reasonably fast.
Let's take a look at Betr's banking options:
Deposits
You can deposit to your Betr account via debit card (Visa and Mastercard), PayPal, and bank transfer.
It would be nice if Betr accepted Apple Pay and American Express/Discover debit cards, but I think most people will find that one of the options works for them.
The minimum deposit at Betr is $5 and deposits are instant, so you can play right away after funding your account.
Withdrawal Methods & Payout Speed
When you're ready to cash out your winnings, head to the Fantasy Wallet section and click Withdraw from Fantasy.
You can then choose your withdrawal method (debit card, PayPal, or bank transfer) and how much you want to withdraw.
In my experience, debit card and PayPal withdrawals are paid out within a day. Bank transfer takes a bit longer—up to 5 business days.
