FanDuel received licensing approval from the Wyoming Pari-Mutuel Commission in November 2021 and officially launched its online sportsbook in the state in March 2022.
I consider FanDuel the best sportsbook nationwide, and I recommend it to all Wyoming bettors, regardless of their preferences, for one simple reason: they consistently offer the best odds. Beyond that, their platform excels with a superb user experience, top-tier market variety, and an exceptional live betting platform.
What often flies under the radar with FanDuel is their knack for innovation. They’ve been trailblazers in the industry, introducing creative promotions and groundbreaking features. 2) Caesars: Best Selection of Futures Markets
Caesars Sportsbook went live in Wyoming on August 2, 2022, and has since established itself as one of the top betting platforms in the Equality State.
Caesars is often praised for its ease of use, which I completely agree with, but there’s more to like. They deliver competitive odds for straight bets, excellent incentives for bettors (shoutout to the Caesars Rewards loyalty program), and comprehensive sports coverage.
While odds boosts are arguably Caesars’ most celebrated feature, I’d argue their futures markets are just as impressive. They offer some of the most creative futures across major sports. Examples include Championship Exacta in the NBA (predicting both the winner and the finalist), All Teams to Score a Touchdown during the NFL playoffs, and Lowest Regular Season Point Total for the NHL.
That said, their customer service leaves room for improvement. Response times can stretch up to 1–2 days, which feels unnecessarily long for a brand with Caesars’ reputation.

3) BetMGM: Best Sports Coverage
BetMGM was one of the first two online sportsbooks to launch in Wyoming, going live on September 1, 2021.
Some of my favorite things about BetMGM include their competitive spread odds and wide-ranging promotions, from parlay boosts to competitions. Their Edit My Bet and Auto Cashout features are also worth calling out—they’re genuinely useful tools that give you more control over your bets. One feature that often flies under the radar? BetMGM is the only sportsbook that pays out ties in full. Unlike most books that reduce your payout based on how many players tie, BetMGM doesn’t shortchange you.
Where BetMGM really excels is in sports coverage. From winter sports to Aussie Rules and even darts, they offer action on just about every sport you can think of.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say their user experience could use some work. I’ve run into issues like bets not processing or occasional login errors, and updating the app doesn’t always fix it. It’s not a huge issue, but it’s something they should iron out.

4) Fanatics: Best Features
Fanatics debuted in Wyoming in May 2024, making it the newest player in the state’s betting market.
PointsBet was already a strong platform, but Fanatics took it to another level after acquiring it. What immediately stands out is how fast and responsive the app is—it feels almost instant with every touch. Another highlight is their sharp odds, which rank among the best in the industry, especially for props. On top of that, their Fan Cash loyalty program is a major perk. You earn points for every dollar wagered, which you can redeem for bonus bets or gear from their apparel store.
Fanatics also delivers on features. They’re one of the few sportsbooks offering partial cashouts, giving you more control over your bets. They also support SGP+, letting you combine Same Game Parlays across multiple games—for example, two picks from one game and one from another.
That said, there’s room to improve when it comes to usability. The bet slip takes up more screen space than it should, making the layout feel a bit cluttered. The overall design could also use a tweak to make navigation smoother.

5) DraftKings: Best Teaser Odds
DraftKings was one of the first sportsbooks to hit the ground running in Wyoming, launching alongside BetMGM in September 2021.
DraftKings’ app usability is hard to top. It’s lightning-fast, rarely glitches, and has a clean layout with props neatly divided into categories. They also boast one of the widest selections of props across all sports, going toe-to-toe with FanDuel. A major plus is their odds boost tokens, which let you pick where to apply them—something you don’t often see at other books that stick you with preset options.
Where DraftKings really stands out for me is their teaser odds. For example, they offer -120 on Wong Teasers (2-team, 6-point NFL teasers), while most other books come in at -130 or worse. If teasers are your thing, DK is a no-brainer.
That said, my biggest issue with DraftKings is how much they push parlays. It feels like parlay tools are everywhere, from the betting program to the promo section. The constant parlay promos can feel a little overwhelming at times.

Right now, Wyoming utilizes the online-only sports betting model. However, there are two tribal entities in the state that own four casino venues. The tribes can offer class III gaming as per the compact and don’t require state approval to launch betting shops on their premises.

Wyoming was very efficient in establishing a legal framework. It set regulations and rolled out the first books within a year of the first legislation being introduced to the House of Representatives.

- Feb 14, 2020: Representative Tom Walters introduces HB225, a bill that would legalize statewide sports betting in Wyoming. The operators would use the online-only model and be required to pay 10% in taxes.
- Feb 28, 2020: HB225 doesn’t pass the House after a close 32-27 vote.
- Oct 22, 2020: The Northern Arapaho Tribe announces plans to launch sports betting at Wind River Hotel & Casino and other Tribal establishments in Wyoming.
- February 24, 2021: HB 113 is brought forth to the House of Representatives. Similar to HB225, HB113 would authorize sports betting in Wyoming.
- March 10, 2021: After rejecting the bill a day earlier, the House of Representatives reconsiders and approves HB 113 after a 32-28 vote. The legislature moves on to be reviewed by the State Senate.
- March 29, 2021: The Senate passes HB 113 by landslide majority (24-5). It now goes to Governor Mark Gordon for signature.
- April 6, 2021: Governor signs HB 113 into law, and online sports betting becomes legal in Wyoming.
- July 15, 2021: The WGC, which was appointed as the main regulatory body for sports betting in Wyoming, releases a draft of the proposed sports betting regulations. The public has 45 days to provide feedback on the proposed sports betting rules.
- September 1, 2021: Wyoming officially kicks off its online sports betting market, with DraftKings and BetMGM as the first apps to go live.
