Borgata lands in my top 10 sportsbooks list. It's like a BetMGM light version, offering fewer promotions. Yet, its market variety and banking options are top-notch.

My Favorite Parts About Borgata
- Edit My Bet: Although I’m not the biggest fan of parlay bets, this feature is dope. It gives you the power to tweak live parlays—adding or dropping picks, changing your bet amount, or switching selections. The flexibility it offers is pretty cool.
- Signature Bets: Borgata (and BetMGM) break the mold with their Signature Bets, finding new angles in an industry where it feels like every bet's been made. A standout for me is the MLB's "Pitcher Duel," letting you bet on whether both pitchers will achieve 5+, 6+, or 7+ strikeouts.
- Unique futures bets: Borgata has some cool NBA futures that I haven't seen anywhere else. My favorite is the wager on the winner of the Clutch Player of the Year award.
- Competitive totals and spread odds: Just as with BetMGM, Borgata offers competitive odds on spreads and totals, sticking to the standard 20-cent lines. This is about as good as it gets for these kinds of bets.
My Least Favorite Parts About Borgata
- Subpar user experience: Borgata's usability and functionality has room for improvement in a few key areas. Often, navigating between screens on the app is slower than I'd like. There's also a pesky bug requiring you to tap a feature twice before it reacts. Plus, the desktop version is slower than most other sportsbooks.
- Few promos available: Borgata typically has only a couple of promos running at a time. I get that BetMGM is the flagship brand, drawing most of the resources, but I’d really like Borgata to step up their promo game for regulars.
- Bad odds for prop bets: You often find player props with 30-cent lines (or worse), such as -120 on one side and -110 on the other. This practice doesn’t sit right with me, although I’m aware that a lot of sportsbooks do it. Odds worse than -110 just aren't good value.

Borgata Odds Competitiveness
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 18/20
I've spent the last six months comparing odds across top U.S. sportsbooks, Borgata among them. They're in the running with competitive odds, yet there are sportsbooks with better pricing.
From analyzing odds in over 7,000 games, Borgata's average vig stands at 5.17%. That's respectable but falls behind the likes of FanDuel, ESPN BET, and BetRivers, which all charge a smaller vig.
Borgata keeps their vig pretty steady across different bets and sports, unlike some books that fluctuate widely.
Here's a look at their vig across different major and college sports:
- NFL: 4.64%
- NCAAF: 4.66%
- NBA: 4.69%
- NCAAB: 4.65%
- MLB: 4.61%
- NHL: 4.61%
And when breaking down their vig across various betting markets:
- Moneyline: 5:01%
- Spread: 4.68%
- Total: 4.73%
Borgata sticks to 20-cent lines for spreads and totals, which means in an NBA game, you could see odds like -110 on both sides, or maybe a split of -115 and -105.
However, when it comes to player props, Borgata leans towards 30-cent lines, which aren’t as player-friendly. Take a player like Nikola Jokic's points in an NBA game; you might encounter odds like -118/-112 for over/under, or even steeper, like -130/-110.
Here are three sportsbooks that edge out Borgata with better overall odds:
- FanDuel: 21/20 (I gave them a bonus point for having the best odds of all books)
- DraftKings: 19.5/20
- bet365: 19.5/20
Borgata Sign-Up Bonus
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 11/15
The Borgata Online Sportsbook welcome offer gives you $100 when you bet just $20 after registering for an account—no strings attached.
The sportsbook doesn’t cap the odds or impose market limitations on the bonus.
The bonus funds will be distributed in 10 equal $10 installments. You won’t be allowed to withdraw it right away as there’s a 1x rollover requirement, but you only have to bet the bonus funds once before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
There’s no Borgata Sportsbook promo code or bonus code needed to secure the welcome offer—all new customers are eligible by default.
Borgata Sportsbook doesn't use a bonus code system, so you don't have to use one as long as you use our exclusive link.
How to Use the Borgata Sportsbook Bonus Code for the Sign-Up Bonus
You don’t need a game plan to claim the Borgata sign-up bonus. Just register, deposit, and place the qualifying bet. We’ll navigate you through the process from start to finish:
- Go to Borgata Sportsbook and select the Register button.
- Fill out the requested information (name, SSN, address, cell number, birthday).
- Since you used our link to get to Borgata, you don’t need to worry about any promo codes during registration.
- Tick the T&C boxes and wrap up the signup.
- Add funds to your account.
- Make a $20+ bet on any market or sport (heavy favorites, longshots, props—everything counts).
- You’ll receive $100 in bonus bets shortly afterward.
Note that if the information you provided during registration doesn't add up, the system won’t be able to verify your ID, and you’ll have to do it manually afterward.
Important Information About the Borgata Welcome Offer
- Time to use the bonus bets. You have 7 days to use the bonus bets after you receive them. The bonus bets are credited in 10 equal installments ($10 each) and can’t be further spread out. For example, you can’t break down one $10 bonus bet into 5 $2 bets.
- Playthrough requirements. Anything you win off a bonus bet becomes real, withdrawable cash but the amount staked will be deducted from the total profit. For example, if you win a +200 moneyline bet with your $10 bonus bet, you’ll only receive the $20 in profit, not $30 which would include the initial $10 wager.
- Eligible markets. You can bet on any market in the Borgata Online Sportsbook, including everything from underdogs to longshots and anything in between.

App & Website User Experience – My Takeaways
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 10/15
Borgata Sportsbook provides a top-notch user experience, resembling the well-known BetMGM platform. This similarity stems from the fact that Entain’s software powers both sites.
The platform is designed to be user-friendly, with a clean layout and bold segments that make navigation a breeze, even for first-time users.
Desktop
The homepage showcases popular sports and featured games, while the layout efficiently organizes sports, markets, and your bet slip. Two standout features include a handy search bar for quick access to specific bets or games and a Favorites tab for bookmarking your top games.
The site boasts an attractive color scheme, neat and orderly presentation, and helpful pre-game stats to aid your betting decisions. Live score updates and live streaming enhance the experience further, making the Borgata Sportsbook platform hard to beat in terms of user experience.
You can check out some screenshots of the Borgata Sportsbook website below (click to expand):
Mobile App
The Borgata Sportsbook app resembles the desktop site and the BetMGM Sportsbook app.
While the design isn’t anything fancy, it’s easy enough to find the games and wagers you’re interested in and palace your bets. While a seemingly small item, the team icons are a nice touch that not all sportsbooks have.
The Borgata Sportsbook app features a similar menu setup as many other sportsbooks with an A-Z sports menu (linked in the footer of the app) and horizontally scrolling menus within a game to go to different sections (spreads, totals, player props, etc.).
Overall, the Borgata Sportsbook app provides a smooth user experience that has few glitches or other issues.

Sports & Betting Markets
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 7.5/7.5
Borgata mirrors BetMGM’s betting program, so there are many betting options to choose from. The portfolio features 23 markets, providing more comprehensive coverage than its main competitors FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s one of the few books that has odds on beach volleyball.

Same game parlays
Borgata offers one-game parlays, which is their version of same game parlays. This functionality allows bettors to mix selections from within one game. It’s available for major sports only.
There’s also a bet builder feature available called “Easy Parlay.” It’s particularly handy for bettors who want to keep it simple and stick to three basic bets: moneylines, spreads, and totals. It shows randomly generated bets based on the player’s preferences for sport and bet type.
Signature bets
Borgata has upped its game in the props department by introducing homegrown specials called Signature Bets. You can’t find these exclusive wagers in any other book.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of their Signature Bets for NBA games:
- Hot start: a bet on whether the first three field goals in a game will be made +550
- Point God: a star playmaker to record X+ assists and 0 turnovers +900
- He’s on fire: a star player to make X consecutive FGs +325
- Raining 3s: a bet on whether there will be more than ten 3s scored in the 1st quarter
Live Betting
Borgata has live betting odds on all popular U.S. sports. The betting diversity is similar to that of pre-game markets.
Live streaming is offered on select events, but you have to be a registered user to watch games.
Borgata (and BetMGM) have recently embraced micro-betting like PointsBet, Caesars, and DraftKings. This feature allows for play-by-play bets and wagers on individual moments within a game.
The cashout feature is available for live markets at Borgata. It gives you a chance to exit on a bet and take whatever profit the sportsbook offers you at that moment (which is smaller than it originally was) while the bet is still ongoing.
Borgata Reviews from Customers
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 3.5/5
Bettors across the board agree that the Borgata Sportsbook app is super easy to use. Many customer reviews rave about the wide range of betting options and the top-notch loyalty program.
However, the sportsbook has taken some heat due to a few hiccups, including geolocation glitches and cash-out feature malfunctions. Some users even cried foul, accusing Borgata of ripping them off because of unclear bonus terms.
Still, these issues likely stem from not reading the fine print, so be sure to do that before taking part of the sign-up bonus or any other promotion.
What people like about Borgata Sportsbook:
- Great app navigation
- Excellent multi-sports bonus parlay
- Awesome loyalty program

What people don’t like about Borgata Sportsbook:
- Geolocation bugs
- Payout delays
- Login freezes

Odds Boosts, Promotions, & Loyalty Program
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 7/10
The promotional lineup at Borgata is lighter than that of BetMGM and other online sportsbooks in NJ. They do offer a few short-term promos now and then, along with several daily boosts.
Borgata tends to crank up its promotional push in the lead-up to marquee events like the Super Bowl or NBA Finals to drive more action.
Borgata's online rewards program covers the site's sports betting and online casino components. It’s connected to MGM Rewards, one of the industry’s leading loyalty programs.
Odds Boosts
Borgata offers 6 – 10 odds boosts daily, mainly for ready-made parlays. It’s a minor inconvenience that the boosts don’t have a dedicated tab, so one must sift through the carousel to find the right one. The prices are typically boosted between 20% – 40%, so with a keen eye, you could grind out some solid value.
Unsurprisingly, the odds boosts are tailored around major sports, but we’ve also spotted a few golf boosts. For instance, Borgata offered +500 for Rory Mcllroy to make an eagle at the Augusta tournament.
As an aside, there’s an overlap between Borgata and BetMGM in terms of odds boosts. All of Borgata’s odds boosts are also available at BetMGM. So, if you play with both books, you can double dip on specific markets, which is handy when there’s a max bet limit on the odds boost.
Promotions
Borgata runs a couple of ongoing promos for returning bettors monthly. Here’s a peek at what they offered in the past:
- Bet & Get: Borgata has been offering several variations of Bet & Get promos with the same mechanic as the current welcome bonus. You bet a specific amount on a sport or market and score a small bonus bet bonus. Sometimes, the bonus size correlates with the bet amount.
- Parlay insurance: This promotion helps take the sting out of barely missing out on a larger payday. You get a refund on your stake up to a specific amount if all but one leg from your parlay hit.
Loyalty Program
The Borgata Rewards program encompasses casino and sports betting and is associated with MGM Rewards. Betting on sports earns you Online Rewards Points and MGM Tier Credits. You can exchange the former for free online play and various perks within the MGM Rewards program, while the latter determines your loyalty tier.
Borgata Features
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 5.25/7.5
Borgata boasts a varied set of features, including Same Game Parlays (SGPs), in-play SGPs, live streaming, Edit My Bet, quick parlay builders, cashouts, and auto cashouts.
Borgata Background
Borgata is an iconic brand that needs little introduction. As the largest casino in Atlantic City, it has consistently been the top-grossing property since it opened its doors in 2003.
With the backing of MGM International and a strong presence on the ground, Borgata was in a great position to enter NJ’s iGaming market in 2013. It was the first online gambling site in the Garden State.
In 2018, Borgata cut the ribbon on a retail sportsbook in AC. A year later, it launched an online betting app through Roar, an entity formed by MGM Resorts and Entain. This makes Borgata the sister site to Borgata Online Casino, Borgata Online Poker, BetMGM Sportsbook, BetMGM Casino, BetMGM Online Poker, Wheel of Fortune Casino, PartyPoker, and PartyCasino.
Similarities to BetMGM
Borgata utilizes Entain’s proprietary technology and sports a near-identical front-end user interface as other Roar brands.
The resemblance doesn’t stop there, as Borgata’s betting selection echoes that of BetMGM. It offers a considerable number of sports to bet on and a tremendous amount of depth per game.
Borgata has incorporated a few functionalities seen at BetMGM, including Early Cashouts, Easy Parlay, and Edit by Bet, which can complement your betting experience nicely.
That said, Borgata runs fewer promotions than BetMGM.
Sign Up Bonus
Roar doesn’t invest as heavily in promotions for Borgata as it does for BetMGM, but that’s understandable for BetMGM’s role as the flagship brand. Consequently, Borgata’s welcome bonus and promos don’t match up to BetMGM’s offerings.
The Bet $20, Get $100 welcome bonus is a better deal than it appears, as it allows bettors to take full advantage of the offer without requiring a large deposit.
Whereas other promotions from New Jersey online sportsbooks such as $1,000 bonus bets require a $1,000 deposit to max out, Borgata’s promo only requires a $20 deposit and bet.
Outside of the sign-up bonus, odds boosts pop up regularly, and you can cash in on occasional seasonal promos.
Latest Developments
Back in August 2023, Borgata launched an online bingo room in New Jersey.
Customer Support
ODDS ASSIST RATING: 3.5/5
Kudos to Borgata for having their customer service game on point. They offer various channels to get the help you need, and their agents are both knowledgeable and efficient. Our only beef is that reaching support reps isn't a walk in the park; you'll have to jump through a few hoops and navigate several pages to get in touch with them. It seems like this is a hurdle BetMGM is also grappling with.
