Dabble centers around Pick'em games, where you predict whether athletes will exceed or fall short of their set stat predictions. They offer two gameplay styles: All In and Hedge. With All In, you must hit all of your selections to win. Hedge is a bit more forgiving. You can still win some, even if some of your picks don't hit.
Underdog offers Pick'em games and other types of contests like weekly drafts and season-long Best Ball competitions. That's a different setup from Dabble, where you only play against the house. With Underdog, you can also go head-to-head with other players if you want.
Dabble offers better payouts on all entries without insurance, friendlier contest rules, faster payouts, and a no-deposit welcome offer—something that most other DFS sites don't offer.
Underdog, on the other hand, provides a wider variety of contests, broader platform access, and a larger sign-up bonus.

Dabble vs. Underdog Incentives for Returning Players – Winner: Dabble
Dabble offers more incentives for returning players than Underdog, but Underdog definitely isn’t coming up empty.
Underdog is pretty consistent with promos, especially when there’s a big slate or a marquee matchup. You’ll see profit boosts, payout boosts, and projections shaved down for certain games. They also offer Gimme Picks, where one leg gets nuked down to 0.0 on eligible entries, plus Boost Builder for juicing payouts when you stack specific plays.
Dabble still has the edge for repeat players, though. It’s not just one-off boosts. Rocket Boosts, the wheel promo, and freerolls give you more ways to squeeze extra value out of regular play, not just the occasional matchup-specific bump.
Neither platform has a true loyalty or VIP program. But if you want the most extra incentives for sticking around, Dabble gets the edge
Dabble vs. Underdog Pick’em Payouts – Winner: Dabble
On standard entries with no insurance, Underdog pays more at the front end and matches Dabble in the middle. Underdog is at 3.5x on 2-picks and 6.5x on 3-picks, while Dabble is at 3x and 6x. At 4-picks and 5-picks, both line up at 10x and 20x. Once you get into bigger entries, Underdog pulls ahead again with 65x on 7-picks and 120x on 8-picks, compared to Dabble’s 60x and 100x.
Insurance is more situational and depends on what you’re trying to optimize.
On 3-pick entries with insurance, Underdog pays 3x if you hit all three and 1x if you go 2 out of 3. Dabble pays 2.5x for 3 out of 3, but bumps the 2 out of 3 return to 1.25x. Underdog rewards the perfect entry more, Dabble treats the near miss better.
On 4-pick entries with insurance, Underdog pays 6x for 4 out of 4 and 1.5x for 3 out of 4. Dabble pays 5x for 4 out of 4 and 1.5x for 3 out of 4. That’s a clean Underdog win at the top tier, with a tie on the partial.
On 5-pick entries with insurance, both pay 10x for 5 out of 5. Underdog pays more for 4 out of 5 at 2.5x, while Dabble comes in at 1.5x and adds 0.4x for 3 out of 5, which Underdog doesn’t offer.
Net net, Underdog wins on raw upside, especially on standard entries and the higher-leg multipliers. Dabble still has a case if you care more about getting paid something on the miss tiers, but if you’re chasing the best return on clean entries, Underdog has the edge.
The other separator is the max entry size. Underdog caps you at 5 picks, but Dabble lets you climb higher, with payouts shown up to 7 picks, like 40x for 6/6 and 80x for 7/7. What's more, Dabble allows all the way up to 12 picks with a headline 1,000x if you somehow go perfect.
Dabble’s max payout can reach 7,500x, but that’s tied to adjusted picks that are tougher than normal projections. It’s a big number, just not the kind you should treat like an everyday target. Still, it’s another way Dabble separates itself on upside.

Dabble vs. Underdog User Interface – Winner: Dabble
For the user interface, I've got to give it to Dabble. Something about how it's set up just works better for me than Underdog. But honestly, both apps are pretty great at making things user-friendly.
While their layouts share similarities, some key differences set them apart.
Dabble organizes its sports right at the top, guiding you to games, followed by athletes listed vertically. For each athlete, there are dropdowns for specific stats, making it easy to see your options for each one.
Underdog takes a different approach. You select a sport, but then it shows you players along with various stat lines all on one card—so for someone like Mahomes, you'd see options for passing TDs, passing yards, and interceptions all together in one spot.
Both methods work well, but I have a slight preference for Dabble's layout—it's a bit more intuitive to me.
Underdog's desktop layout is all about smooth navigation. When you choose a game, the player options are immediately visible, and your betting slip appears neatly on the right. It's a one-page wonder that lets you jump into your picks without skipping a beat.
On the other hand, Dabble is still working on launching its desktop version, so there's a bit of waiting to see how it stacks up.

Dabble vs. Underdog Contest Variety – Winner: Underdog
In contest variety, Underdog outshines Dabble by offering a wider range of options.
At Dabble, Pick'em contests are the sole focus. Participants craft their entries by predicting whether athletes will surpass or not reach specific statistical lines.
For example, you could choose whether Nikola Jokic will have more or less than 7.5 assists, or if Jalen Hurts will have more or less than 275.5 passing yards.
Dabble provides two gameplay modes: All In and Hedge. In All In, every one of your choices needs to be correct to win. Hedge, on the other hand, acts as a safety net, offering a smaller prize if some of your picks don't hit.
Underdog, too, has Pick’em games but refers to its version of Hedge as Insurance. Everything else about how it works is pretty much the same as Dabble's contests.
Beyond the usual Pick’em format, Underdog adds a unique spin with their “rivals” matchups. In these contests, you're tasked with predicting head-to-head outcomes, such as deciding if Nikola Jokic will score more points than Joel Embiid.
Another new addition is Ladders, a contest where your payout rises with each player’s individual performance, with a top prize that hits 100x if they all max out.
Adding to the mix, Underdog also runs draft-based contests, including daily drafts and season-long Best Ball. You select a team through a draft and then earn points based on how those players perform in real life.
For Best Ball, the goal is to accumulate enough points to advance through rounds, aiming for a share of the prize pool.
A key highlight of Best Ball is its set-it-and-forget-it nature. Once the season kicks off, your lineup is locked in. Underdog automatically picks your best-performing players for the week.
Some of Underdog's Best Ball tournaments boast prize pools of up to $10 million, with first place sometimes walking away with $2 million.
Dabble vs. Underdog Sports Coverage – Winner: Underdog
Both platforms cover 9+ sports markets. However, the specific sports available on each platform do vary a bit.
