How the F1 Constructors' Championship Winner is Determined
The Formula 1 Constructors' Championship is determined based on the cumulative points scored by both drivers of a team throughout the season. In each race, drivers earn points based on their finishing positions:
- 1st: 25 points
- 2nd: 18 points
- 3rd: 15 points
- 4th: 12 points
- 5th: 10 points
- 6th: 8 points
- 7th: 6 points
- 8th: 4 points
- 9th: 2 points
- 10th: 1 point
There is also a bonus point given to the driver who has the fastest lap of the race, as long as they finish in the top 10.
At the end of the season, the team with the highest total points is declared the Constructors' Champion. In case of a tie, the team with the highest number of race wins takes the title. If the number of race wins is also equal, the team with the most second-place finishes (and so on) is declared the winner.
The F1 season typically consists of 23 races, held in countries around the world. Each race is a standalone event, with drivers competing to finish in the highest position possible to earn as many points as possible. The team whose drivers accumulate the most points combined over the course of the season is declared the Constructors' champion.
