Cleveland Browns @ Los Angeles Rams UNDER 39.5 – 4:25 pm

The Browns offense is lost without Deshaun Watson under center and it may get even worse against the Rams as rookie starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson is in concussion protocol and may not be able to play Sunday.

Even if DTR is able to play, his numbers have not been impressive so far this year. He is completing under 54% of his passes and has just 1 touchdown compared to 4 interceptions.

If he can’t go, there is a chance the Browns will end up turning to Joe Flacco who joined the Browns just a few weeks ago and has had very limited practice time to learn the offense.

The Browns do have one of the best defenses in the league to rely on and the Rams struggle to score so this should be a very defensive-oriented game.

The Browns rank 1st in yards allowed giving up just 247.9 yards per game. Now they will face a Rams offense that has been struggling, scoring more than 20 points just once in their last 5 games.

These teams do not play each other a lot, but the last 3 between them have gone under and by an average of nearly 13 points per game.

Given the circumstances don’t expect a lot of scoring, play this one UNDER 39.5 on Sunday afternoon.

Jacksonville Jaguars -7.5 vs Cincinnati Bengals – 8:15 pm (Monday Night Football)

The season-ending injury to Joe Burrow will continue to have a major impact on the Bengals. Jake Browning took over at QB and struggled. He threw for only 227 yards and was sacked 4 times last week.

The Bengals also struggled to get anything going against the Steelers on the ground last week, with Joe Mixon only getting 8 carries for 16 yards. While they need to make him a bigger focal point of the offense it will be tough against the Jaguars run defense which ranks 4th in the league allowing just 87.4 yards per game on the ground.

In terms of yards allowed, the Bengals have the 2nd worst defense in the league giving up 389.3 yards per game. That will spell trouble against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars offense which is putting up 344.2 yards per game.

The Bengals have dropped 3 straight games against the spread and have only covered once against Jacksonville in their last 5 meetings.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars have been very good against the spread this year covering in 8 of their 11 games.

The Bengals offense will be in no position to keep up with Jacksonville, who will score some points on Monday night. Take the Jaguars to cover the number.
