Colorado legalized sports betting on November 7, 2019, when voters approved Proposition DD by just 44,000 votes. Sports betting officially launched on May 1, 2020, and is available online and at retail sportsbooks.
The Centennial State features 13 online sportsbooks. My top picks are FanDuel, Caesars, and bet365, but I also use BetMGM, BetRivers, and others when shopping for the best lines and promotions. I recommend doing the same to fully take advantage of what each offers.
This guide will help you familiarize yourself with each sportsbook to maximize your betting opportunities in Colorado.
List of All Colorado Sportsbooks
While Colorado already boasts 13 online sportsbooks, there's still room for more. State laws permit up to 30, with each land-based casino allowed one online sportsbook partner.
Mobile sports betting in Colorado took off during the pandemic before land-based sportsbooks could open.
Moreover, the state’s casinos are clustered in just three towns, so it's no surprise that online betting has become much more popular than retail betting.
Here’s the complete list of online sportsbooks in Colorado, along with their top features:
- FanDuel: Best Overall Sportsbook in Colorado
- Caesars: Most User-Friendly Betting Site in Colorado
- bet365: Best Odds Boosts at Colorado Sportsbooks
- Sporttrade: Best Betting Exchange in Colorado
- BetMGM: Best Sportsbook for Betting on Colorado Teams
- DraftKings: Best NFL Props Among Colorado Sportsbooks
- BetRivers: Best CO Sportsbook for Live Betting
- Fanatics: Best Cashback Program at CO Sportsbooks
- ESPN BET: Best Odds at Colorado Sportsbooks
- Betfred: Colorado Sportsbook With a Nice Sports Coverage
- SBK Sportsbook: An Innovative Sportsbook in Colorado
- BallyBet: Betting Site in Colorado With In-House Odds
- BetMonarch: Local Betting Site in Colorado
- Circa Sports: CO Sportsbook With Competitive Odds
1) FanDuel: Best Overall Sportsbook in Colorado
FanDuel launched in Colorado on May 1, 2020, the first-day sports betting was available. It operates a retail sportsbook at Golden Gates Casino and has an additional partnership with Mardi Gras Casino, both in Black Hawk. FanDuel made history by partnering with the Denver Broncos, marking the first-ever collaboration between an NFL team and a sportsbook.
FanDuel is the top sportsbook in Colorado. For me, an excellent sportsbook experience boils down to three things: does it have the bets I want, are the odds good enough to make it worthwhile, and does the app run smoothly and quickly? FanDuel nails it in all three areas.
You can bet on just about anything, from NFL games like the Denver Broncos covering the spread to less mainstream sports like table tennis, which is surprisingly popular in Colorado. Even niche sports like handball are on the menu.
However, FanDuel tends to push parlay bets quite aggressively. I'll drop in a few parlays myself when there’s a full slate of action, but generally, I don't recommend this type of bet because it’s not profitable in the long run.
FanDuel Sportsbook Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 94/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Bet $5, Get $150 Bonus If Your Bet Wins
- Best Features: Odds competitiveness, market variety
- Biggest Drawbacks: No sportsbook rewards program, not many daily odds boosts
- Number of Sports: 21+
- Payout Speed: Up to 5 business days (typically faster)
- Rewards Program: DFS & Casino only

2) Caesars: Most User-Friendly Betting Site in Colorado
Caesars was quick to enter the Colorado mobile sports betting scene, launching on May 1, 2020. It runs a retail sportsbook at Isle Casino Hotel and is partnered with Lady Luck Casino, both in Black Hawk.
What sets Caesars apart is the user experience. When I want to place a bet quickly, their layout makes it easy. The app is eye-catching and a breeze to navigate, with clear buttons for live bets, odds boosts, and more.
Caesars Sportsbook is also quite fast, which is crucial for live betting, where odds can change at any second. A quick app makes placing your in-play bet and getting the odds you want much easier. Whether I'm live betting or getting my bets in before the game kicks off, I know every second counts, and Caesars delivers.
However, customer support could be better. Sometimes, I’ve had to wait more than a day to hear back from customer support, while other sportsbooks reply within minutes to a few hours. Most people don't have that kind of time to wait for help.
Caesars Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 93/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Bet $1, Get 2x Winnings on Next 20 Bets
- Best Features: Loyalty program, user-friendly UX
- Biggest Drawbacks: Slower payout speeds, sluggish customer service
- Number of Sports: 23+
- Payout Speed: Up to 72 hours
- Rewards Program: Caesars Rewards

3) bet365: Best Colorado Betting Site for Futures Betting
bet365 launched in Colorado on September 6, 2022, making it one of the newer sportsbooks in the state. They’ve partnered with Century Casinos and the MLB’s Colorado Rockies.
One of the standout features of bet365 is its variety of futures bets. This is my go-to sportsbook when I want to play futures because they offer many options with good odds. You’ll find standard futures like the Super Bowl winner and individual stat totals, as well as unique props.
For example, you can bet on which player will have the most 3-pointers in a day’s MLB action or whether there will be an albatross in a golf tournament. If you have a specific bet in mind that isn’t covered, you can request a bet, and Bet365 will set the odds for you. This gives you almost unlimited betting possibilities.
However, the daily prop odds can be inconsistent. While their futures bets typically offer great odds, prop bets can sometimes be as bad as -140.
bet365 Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 89/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: $1,000 First bet safety net or bet $5, get $200 in bonus bets
- Best Features: Auto Cash Out, insane number of odds boosts, early payout promos
- Biggest Drawbacks: Subpar prop odds, no sportsbook rewards program
- Number of Sports: 26+
- Payout Speed: Up to 24 hours
- Rewards Program: None

4) Sporttrade: Best Betting Exchange in Colorado
A betting exchange is a platform where players bet against other players instead of the house. Sporttrade introduced this form of gambling to Colorado when it launched on August 29, 2023. It’s partnered with GF Gaming and Bonanza Casino.
One of Sporttrade's main advantages is that you get excellent odds because you're betting against other players, not the house. This usually means odds of -105 instead of the typical -110, which can make a big difference in your winnings.
The app itself is stable and reliable. There's nothing more frustrating than an app crashing when you're trying to place a bet, but with Sporttrade, you don’t have to worry about that. It’s seamless, and you can get your bets down without hassle.
However, there is a learning curve. Betting exchanges operate differently from traditional sportsbooks, and it can take some time to get the hang of it. Understanding how the markets work and finding good odds requires knowledge and experience.
Sporttrade Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 87/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: 10% cash back on bets in first week
- Best Features: Odds on straight bets & futures
- Biggest Drawbacks: Limited markets & sports
- Number of Sports: 9
- Payout Speed: Up to 5 business days
- Rewards Program: N/A

5) BetMGM: Best Sportsbooks For Betting on Colorado Teams
BetMGM was ready from Day 1 in Colorado, launching in May 2020. They landed a big partnership with the NFL’s Denver Broncos and teamed up with Midnight Rose Casino.
Being the Broncos' official sportsbook means you can expect great promotions involving Colorado teams. BetMGM excels at offering promotions tied to local teams. I’ve taken advantage of several boosted cross-sport parlays, like pairing the Broncos with the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche during the winter.
BetMGM is my favorite book for betting on golf in the summer because they pay out ties in full. For example, if you bet on a golfer to finish in the top 10 at +1000 and they end up in a four-way tie for 10th, other sportsbooks would cut your winnings since your golfer technically tied for 13th. But at BetMGM, you get the full payout as if they finished alone in 10th.
That said, BetMGM is better for pre-match betting than in-play betting. The user experience can be slow and buggy, which isn’t ideal when you need to place bets quickly.
BetMGM Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 84/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Up to $1,500 in bonus bets
- Best Features: Edit My Bet, NFL rewards
- Biggest Drawbacks: Quickly limits sharps, UX can be a bit buggy
- Number of Sports: 19+
- Payout Speed: Up to 24 hours
- Rewards Program: MGM Rewards

6) DraftKings: Best NFL Props Among Colorado Sportsbooks
DraftKings went live in Colorado on May 1, 2020. It has a retail location at Mardi Gras Casino in Black Hawk and a partnership with Golden Gate Casino.
DK is known for having great NFL props. They offer one of the largest selections of prop bets for NFL Sundays, and they’re great for betting NFL teasers, too. NFL betting is the bread and butter of any American sportsbook, and DraftKings provides plenty of options for NFL bettors. You’ll find game-long props, individual play props, and head-to-head props. For instance, you can bet on passing yards in a Broncos-Raiders game by matching Bo Nix against Aidan O’Connell.
DraftKings also shines in futures betting. When the Nuggets won their first title in 2023, many Colorado fans cashed in their bets. DraftKings offered a way to win without taking as much risk; you could bet on a first-time NBA winner, which covered six teams, including the Nuggets.
However, DraftKings falls short on college football. While I love betting with DraftKings on NFL Sundays, their vig on college football is higher. For instance, the vig on games involving Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes was higher than at other books.
DraftKings Sportsbook Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 84/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Bet $5, get $300 in bonus bets + $200 off NFL Sunday Ticket
- Best Features: Market depth, profit boost tokens
- Biggest Drawbacks: Odds not always competitive, quickly limit winners
- Number of Sports: 25+
- Payout Speed: Up to 5 business days
- Rewards Program: Dynasty Rewards

7) BetRivers: Best CO Sportsbook for Live Betting
BetRivers Sportsbook has been available in Colorado since launch day, May 1, 2020. It partners with Triple Crown Casino in Cripple Creek, though it doesn’t have a physical sportsbook in the state.
Live betting is one of BetRivers' strong points for several reasons. You can place live bets on events worldwide, whether a Norwegian soccer match or a Challenger series tennis tournament. Their live streaming capabilities are top-notch, offering streams for various events, including obscure ones like Czech table tennis. NHL live streaming coverage is excellent, so you can easily catch the Colorado Avalanche games.
BetRivers also offers valuable promotions for existing customers. For example, during the European soccer championships, there was a Bet and Get promotion where you could place a bet on the first goal scorer and receive a bonus bet for later use in the tournament.
One downside is their same-game parlay options. BetRivers sometimes blocks plays if the outcomes are too similar, which can be frustrating. Reduced odds would be more understandable than blocking the play entirely.
BetRivers Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 82/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Second chance bet up to $500 depending on state
- Best Features: Fast payouts, competitive teaser and soccer odds
- Biggest Drawbacks: Functionality issues, limits successful bettors quickly
- Number of Sports: 29+
- Payout Speed: Up to 5 business days (usually within a day)
- Rewards Program: iRush Rewards

8) Fanatics: Best Cashback Program at CO Sportsbooks
BetRivers Sportsbook has been available in Colorado since launch day, May 1, 2020. It partners with Triple Crown Casino in Cripple Creek, though it doesn’t have a physical sportsbook in the state.

Fanatics Sportsbook Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 81/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Bet & Get Up to $2k in FanCash
- Best Features: Valuable sign-up bonus, competitive prop odds
- Biggest Drawbacks: Confusing interface, no desktop site, quick to limit winners
- Number of Sports: 15
- Payout Speed: Up to 3 business days
- Rewards Program: FanCash Rewards

9) ESPN BET: Competitive Odds Compared to Most CO Sportsbooks
ESPN BET entered the Colorado sports betting scene on August 9, 2021, initially launching as Barstool Sportsbook before rebranding to ESPN BET in November 2023. They retained Barstool’s partnership with Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa in Black Hawk, although the retail sportsbook doesn’t carry the ESPN name.
ESPN BET is leveraging its legacy in college sports. They offer industry-low vigs on college football and basketball, which makes sense given ESPN's extensive coverage of college sports. When I want to bet on teams like the Northern Colorado Bears or the Denver Pioneers on ESPN+, I tend to check ESPN BET’s lines first because they usually have competitive odds.
The platform serves up great odds boosts, turning good odds into great ones. Most boosts land around +150 from -110; some even go above +200.
However, ESPN BET still has work to do. Barstool was all about flash and personality, sometimes at the expense of the betting experience. ESPN BET has improved on substance with lower vigs but hasn’t fully addressed the layout issues beyond a new color scheme. The cool tones of navy and aqua look nice but don’t fix the interface's slow pace and awkward design.
ESPN BET Quick Facts:
- OA BetReview Rating: 73/100
- Sign-Up Bonus: Bet $10, get $100 in bonus bets
- Best Features: Sports variety, competitive pre-game odds
- Biggest Drawbacks: Subpar user experience, not many features
- Number of Sports: 20+
- Payout Speed: 1 to 5 banking days
- Rewards Program: PENN Play Program

10) SBK Sportsbook: An Innovative Sportsbook in Colorado
SBK Sportsbook entered Colorado on June 5, 2020, just a month after many of its competitors. It’s partnered with Bronco Billy’s Casino in Cripple Creek.
SBK offers a unique social sports betting experience, allowing bettors to connect and build a community. One standout feature is that it displays odds from other sportsbooks alongside its own, similar to how Progressive shows competitors' rates. This transparency builds trust among users.
It's also a great platform for high rollers, as it doesn't typically limit or ban successful bettors, allowing you to continue building on your wins.
However, SBK is only available on mobile apps, which can deter new customers from joining.
11) Bally Bet: Betting Site in Colorado With In-House Odds
Bally Bet entered the Colorado sports betting market in May 2021, a year after sports betting launched in the state. They partnered with the former Golden Gulch Casino in Black Hawk, which has since been rebranded as Bally’s.
Bally Bet stands out because it uses its in-house lines, so it occasionally offers better odds than other sportsbooks that use the same odds provider. It's always worth checking Bally’s to see if you can find a more favorable play.
A unique feature Bally’s offers is a reward for winning streaks. Bally’s gives you a free bonus bet if you win five consecutive bets.
However, in Colorado's crowded market, Bally’s doesn't do much else to set itself apart. Their offerings are primarily focused on the Big Four sports and college events, and they don't provide as robust a selection as some of the more prominent names in the state.
12) BetMonarch: Local Betting Site in Colorado
BetMonarch is unique because it isn’t tied to a big-name mobile partner. It’s the sportsbook of Monarch Casino Resort and Spa in Black Hawk and has been an extension of the casino since it opened on launch day, May 1, 2020.
As a local betting site, BetMonarch focuses on appealing to its everyday customers. It aims to give Denver and its suburbs a reason to choose Monarch Casino for their gaming needs, rewarding every play with points that can be used at the casino. This approach encourages repeat business and loyalty.
One standout feature of BetMonarch is its 8-cent moneylines. Even major sportsbooks like FanDuel don’t usually match this, as BetMonarch offers even money for the underdog when the favorite is -108. Such generous lines are rare and make BetMonarch worth checking out.
However, the site’s offerings are limited. While it covers major sports like the NFL, NBA, and MLB, it has few options beyond the big American leagues and the WNBA. This can be a drawback for those looking for more diverse betting opportunities.
13) CircaSports: CO Sportsbook With Competitive Odds
CircaSports has been available in Colorado since day one, launching on May 1, 2020. It partners with Century Casino, which has locations in both Cripple Creek and Central City.
CircaSports is known for its competitive odds, especially in baseball, football, and basketball betting. If you’ve seen CircaSports bettors enjoying Stadium Swim in Las Vegas, you know baseball betting is a big part of their brand, thanks to some of the best odds in the industry.
Another major draw of CircaSports is their high betting limits. This sportsbook is designed for high rollers who don’t have to worry about getting limited if they start winning big.
However, CircaSports isn’t ideal for casual bettors. They don't offer a welcome bonus, have limited live betting options, and provide fewer sports to bet on than other sportsbooks. It's an excellent option for experienced bettors but might not be the best starting point for beginners.
