If your first bet loses, get refunded in site credit up to $500
FOX Bet launched in September 2019 after FOX Sports partnered up with The Stars Group—the maker of PokerStars and BetStars.
Shortly after, The Stars Group was acquired by Flutter Entertainment—who also owns FanDuel, BetFair, Sportsbet Australia, Paddy Power, and more—making it one of the largest sports betting companies in the world.
During this time, FOX Bet has grown into one of the most popular online sportsbooks in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Michigan.
FOX Bet's growth has been pushed along by its assortment of TV personalities including Colin Cowherd, Cris Carter, Nick Wright, Sal “Cousin Sal” Iacono, Clay Travis, Charissa Thompson, and more.
There's a lot to like when it comes to the FOX Bet Sportsbook. It offers competitive promotions and odds boosts, easy deposits and withdrawals, a variety of sports to bet on, and has great customer reviews.
This FOX Bet review will go over everything you need to know to decide whether its the right online sportsbook for you.
FOX Bet Sportsbook Quick Review
FOX Bet is a solid option for sports bettors in eligible states. While it isn't necessarily the “best” in any one category, it is at least average or better in most of them, making it a well-rounded sportsbook that's worth your consideration.
FOX Bet offers a competitive intro promo, attractive odds boosts and other promotions, a smooth user experience, and an easy deposit and withdrawal process.
On the downside, FOX Bet only has slightly worse odds relative to many other sportsbooks and it doesn't offer same game parlays. In addition, there are no player or team statistics available in the sportsbook.
Note that if you only bet on one specific sport, it's worth checking out how FOX Bet's odds stack up to the competition as they seem to vary greatly by sport.
Overall, if you bet on sports in Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania, it's worth considering adding FOX Bet to your stable of sports betting apps.

FOX Bet Intro Promo
The FOX Bet intro promo is a $500 risk-free bet. There is no promo code required to receive it.
Here’s how it works:
- After you register for a FOX Bet account, make your first deposit
- Place your first bet
- If your first bet wins, you receive no free bet
- If your first bet loses, you will receive a free bet equal to the amount of your first bet up to $500
- Use your free bet within 30 days on an event with odds of -200 or longer (-110, +140, +300, etc.)
There is only a 1x rollover requirement with the free bets, meaning you can withdraw any winnings after betting the free bet once. Note that you only receive the profits from the free bet, not including the amount wagered.
The FOX Bet intro promo is one of the best risk-free bets currently available. While it isn’t as high as some other sportsbooks that offer risk-free bets or deposit matches of $1,000 or more, most sportsbooks only offer intro promos with values of $250 or less.
Overall, the FOX Bet welcome bonus for new customers is definitely worth taking advantage of if you bet in one of the states where the book operates.

FOX Bet Odds Competitiveness
FOX Bet is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to odds competitiveness. Whereas some sports have the standard -110 odds on spread and total bets, others have odds that are -111, -112, or even worse.
With that being said, it's smart to use at least a few sportsbooks so you can shop around for the best odds. This doesn't take much time but is important to become a profitable sports bettor over time.
FOX Bet Odds Boosts & Promos
Aside from the intro bonus for new customers, FOX Bet also regularly offers a variety of promotions and odds boosts that can help you win even more money. Here is a quick overview of each:
FOX Bet offers anywhere from 3 to over 20 odds boosts (called “Bet Boost”) for most major sports on any given day. I've found odds to be boosted around 18%, on average, which is pretty good compared to other sportsbooks.
Game lines, game props, and player props are all regularly boosted in the FOX Bet app and website.
Unlike most alternatives, FOX Bet organizes their odds boosts by sport instead of just having a single page that displays all odds boosts.
This makes it easy for people who prefer to bet on a single sport or only a few, but isn't ideal for people who bet a variety of sports. The latter group would have to go through each sport to see and compare odds boosts instead of just being able to see them in one spot.
Aside from the sign-up bonus, FOX Bet regularly offers promotions allowing you to earn extra money, get refunds, and more.
Here are some examples of promos that FOX Bet has run in the past:
- First Game of the Day Bet. Bet $10 on the first game of the day and get $10 free in site credit.
- Saturday Super Boost. Every Saturday FOX Bet heavily boosts select bets.
- $5 Free Parlay Deal. Get $5 in site credit when you bet $10 or more on parlays.
- $5 Casino Bonus. Get $5 in site credit when you get $10 or more on any Casino game.
FOX Bet's rewards program is called Stars Rewards. When you place bets, you earn Stars points that you can use to unlock chests that give you access to special odds boosts, free bets, and more.

Types of Bets FOX Bet Accepts
Like most sportsbooks, FOX Bet offers most types of sports bets including:
- Spread bets
- Moneyline bets
- Totals (Over/Under)
- Game props
- Player props
- Round robin
- Alternate lines
FOX Bet also offers live betting on most markets including football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and more. With many games, you also have the option to cash out your bet early if you'd like. This is especially helpful for parlays where multiple legs have already hit and you don't want to risk losing on the last game or two.
If you are unable to watch a game, you can follow along in the app to see the current score, who has possession, team and player stats, and more. This is a nice touch, especially since FOX Bet offers many markets that aren't likely to be on typical cable subscriptions.
Same game parlays
With these, you can parlay multiple bets from the same game into a single parlay. For example, you could bet on the Eagles +6.5, Over 44.5 in the Eagles game, and Miles Sanders to rush for over 84.5 yards in a single parlay.
FOX Bet DOES offer same game parlays, but they are all pre-configured. For example, instead of choosing the Bucks to cover or not, the game to go over or under, and Giannis to score over 28.5 points, FOX Bet has pre-made same game parlays—you can't customize them.
Signing Up for FOX Bet
You don’t have to be a resident of one of the states where FOX Bet operates to sign up for the sportsbook, but you must be located in one of the states to place bets. The only other restriction is that you must be at least 21 years old.
To sign up for an account, you’ll have to fill out some basic information including:
- Your desired username
- Date of birth
- Last 4 digits of Social Security number
- Phone number
- Security questions
After filling out this information, you may be asked to upload a government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) to verify your identity. Some customers have also reported having to upload a utility bill or other proof of address later on after the sign-up process as well.
The whole process is quick and easy and should only take a few minutes. You can get an idea of what the registration screen looks like in the following mobile app screenshots (click to expand):

FOX Bet App & Website Experience
You can bet with FOX Bet through its website or mobile apps (iOS & Android). The app/website will verify your location to ensure you are located in a state where FOX Bet operates online. You may be required to download an application to your computer to help verify your location or grant the website/mobile app access to your location.
FOX Bet has a single website but each state uses a different subdomain. New Jersey, for example, is nj.foxbet.com while Colorado is co.foxbet.com.
There is also just one app called FOX Bet Sportsbook & Casino for all states. This is makes it easy to bet through FOX Bet if you travel between states where it operates. Other sportsbooks make you download separate apps for different states.
Note that you don't have to be a resident of any specific state to be eligible to bet; you just must be physically located in a state where FOX Bet is allowed.
Overall, FOX Bet provides a good user experience that is better than most other options. We rated it as a 4 out of 5—or “above average”—relative to other books.
Both the app and website are easy to use and have no major issues.
Let's take a look at each:
FOX Bet Mobile App
The FOX Bet app is designed very similarly to other online sportsbook apps. There is a bit more color, differing font sizes, and team icons that can make it easier to find what you're looking for or overwhelming depending on your preferences.
From the homepage, you'll notice a few different menus that can help you navigate to the section of the app you are looking for. Up top, you can quickly jump to the homepage, live games, promotions, and the most popular sports at the time.
There is also an all sports menu on the top right of the screen that shows all available markets. In addition, at the bottom of the screen, you can switch between the sportsbook, casino, rewards program, poker, and account.
Once you get into a specific game, you'll notice a horizontal menu where you can see popular bets, all wagers, player props, boosted bets, game parlays, buy/sell points, and more.
I do really like the player props presentation. Props are grouped based on category such as player points, assists, etc. This makes it easy to compare props from player to player.
Once you are ready to place your bets, you can hit the blue icon towards the top right of your screen. From there, enter the amount you want to wager and click the “Place bet” button.
This bet slip location is one thing I'm not a big fan of. I prefer having it in the bottom center of my screen (like most sportsbooks do). Also, the selections in the bet slip are pretty large, making you scroll down through it to get to the button to place your bets.
The last thing to note about the FOX Bet app is the #CUSTOMBET section. This part of the app shows bets that FOX Bet previously didn't offer that users tweeted at FOX Bet using the “#custombet” hashtag. If you don't see a wager that you'd like to place, you have a chance to get FOX Bet to add it to this section by tweeting at them.
Check out some of the screenshots below to get a better idea of what the FOX Bet Sportsbook app is like (click to expand):
FOX Bet Website
You'll notice that the FOX Bet Sportsbook website and mobile app are very similar. They have the same basic design including menu location, fonts and font styles, colors, and almost everything else.
Since there is more space to work with, the website is a bit less overwhelming, but that's generally true with most sportsbooks.
It is nice to have the bet slip always visible on the right side of the screen. This allows you to see how many games you've selected, their odds, the odds you would receive on a parlay, and more without having to constantly click into the bet slip.
As with the mobile app, the FOX Bet website has the same #CUSTOMBET section that shows user-requested wagers.
Here are some screenshots of the FOX Bet Sportsbook website (click to expand):
I've used the FOX Bet app and website since they first launched in 2019 and haven't run into any major issues with the app crashing, difficulties logging in, or anything else like that.
The only thing I've noticed (and is something that really isn't a big deal), is that when I first load the website or app, the content takes about 5 seconds or so to load. During that time, I just get a plain text menu and an error that says my browser is out of date.
I've found some reviews where customers complain about getting logged out after a short period of time. This can be annoying, especially if you are live betting games while watching them or trying to decide the right time to cash out.
FOX Bet's stability is supported by its good customer reviews. In the Apple App Store, for example, it is rated 4.5 stars from over 5,100 reviews.
You can reach FOX Bet for support any time through the following methods:

FOX Bet Customer Reviews
The FOX Bet Sportsbook app has pretty good customer reviews compared to competitors. In the Apple App Store, it has 4.5 stars from 7,100 reviews as of the time of this writing.
Many of the positive reviews talk about the great promotions, wide variety of sports, and speed of withdrawals.
As with any product, though, there are some people that have had bad experiences. Here are the most common complaints I've seen in my research:
- Vague and unfair terms and conditions on promotions (especially the new user risk-free bet)
- Waiting a long time to receive risk free bet from intro bonus
- Delayed settling of winning bets
- Getting logged out often
- Poor customer service
- Trouble withdrawing money
- Difficulty verifying identity
FOX Bet Educational & Responsible Gaming Resources
Like any form of gambling, there is always a risk of losing your money when sports betting—especially if you don't fully understand how it works. In addition, gambling addiction is a serious problem that is easier to fall into than most people realize.
For that reason, when rating sportsbooks, I considered what kind of educational resources they provide and what responsible gambling resources and limits they have in place.
FOX Bet has a few different resources to help people learn about sports betting.
First off, there is a How to Guide that goes over how to place a bet, how odds work, and the two main bet types (straight and parlay). There is also an extensive FAQ section that goes over everything from how sports betting works to how to place bets, withdraw money, and manage your account.
I have not seen any player or team statistics in the FOX Bet app. It is pretty easy to use another site such as ESPN for this information, however.
Responsible gaming resources & limits
FOX Bet has an extensive responsible gambling guide to help reduce the risks that are inherent with gambling.
It goes over a lot of different things including:
- How it helps protect against underage gambling (including what parents can do to prevent their children from underage gambling)
- How to spot signs of gambling addiction and how people can find help if they are struggling
- Guidelines to follow to gamble responsibly
- Other resources for finding help
- The responsible gambling limits FOX Bet has available for users
Here is an overview of each of the limits FOX Bet offers to help customers gamble responsibly:
- Deposit Limit. These limit how much you can deposit to your account in a daily, weekly, or monthly time period. Note that the limit doesn't reset every day, week, or month; limits are for the last amount of that time period. For example, your daily limit refers to the last 24 hours not just for that day (such as 12 am to 11:59 pm).
- Spend Limit. Limits how much you can wager in a given daily, weekly, or monthly time period. Note that these periods do reset after each time interval. For example, your weekly spend limit resets after the last day of each week.
- Sports Stake Limit. Limits how much you can risk on a single wager.
FOX Bet Alternatives
While FOX Bet is definitely worthy of your consideration, there are some alternatives that may be a better fit depending on what you're looking for.
Here are some FOX Bet alternatives to consider:
- If you want a better overall sportsbook: FanDuel
- If you want a larger intro promo: PointsBet
- Another great option: BetMGM
