If you are going to bet this one, grab the Commanders now at -7 before it crosses above that key number as the public starts betting the game as kickoff approaches.

The Cardinals are clearly not trying to field a competitive football team or win this year. They will be going with Joshua Dobbs at quarterback. Dobbs did not play at all in the preseason with the Cardinals but landed the starting role after the Cardinals cut QB Colt McCoy and put QB Kyler Murray on the PUP list as he continues to recover from an ACL injury.

The Cardinals will be going up against a highly ranked Commanders defense that allowed only 304.6 yards per a game in 2022, good for 3rd best in the league. The Cardinals will not be putting up a lot of points, which spells bad news given the state of their defense.

The Cardinals' defense was terrible last year and, believe it or not, it’s going to be even worse this year as they lost key pieces like JJ Watt. They ranked 31st last year, allowing 26.4 points per game.

They have a rookie Head Coach in Jonathan Gannon who will not be up to the task in Year 1 with the talent level his team has.

While the Commanders are not an offensive juggernaut, Sam Howell should be able to help the Commanders put up enough points to win this one comfortably.

Grab them at -7 now before it’s too late.

New Orleans Saints –3 vs Tennessee Titans – 1 pm ET on CBS

This is a line that opened up at -4 over the summer and got bet down to -3, which is still available at many shops, but it has gone back to -3.5 at a few places, so this one is definitely trending to close above the key number of -3 come game day.

The Saints begin the Derek Carr era and will look to improve on what was a very average offense in 2022. The strength of the Saints continues to be their defense, where they ranked 5th best in the league last year.

And the Saints will be facing off against a Tennessee offense that struggled mightily last year, averaging just 17.5 points per game, good for 28th in the league. So don’t expect a lot of points out of the Titans going up against one of the better defenses in the league.

That should allow Derek Carr and the Saints offense to get enough points for a win and cover on opening weekend.

Grab -3 now, it will be the best number you can get on this one.
