One of the best ways to give yourself a better chance at making money sports betting is by placing your bets right when lines are released before they move.

If you can gauge which way they'll move, you can get what's called closing line value. For example, if the opening spread for a team you like is -2.5 but you think it'll move to -3, -3.5, or more, you should grab them at -2.5 right away.

Sportsbooks started releasing lines for Week 6 shortly after the Sunday games concluded, and we've dug into them to find value that you should lock in now before lines move as we get closer to kickoff.

Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 vs. Seattle Seahawks – Sunday, 1 pm ET

The Bengals finally look like they are finding their rhythm as Joe Burrow continues to reintegrate himself with the offense following missing the entire preseason with a calf injury. While he may still not be 100%, he has clearly made progress in the past few weeks. Last week against Arizona he threw for over 300 yards for the first time all season and added 3 touchdown passes in a 34-20 Bengals win.

It is another good matchup for Burrow to continue to get on track as the Seahawks are 30th in the league against the pass, allowing 280 yards per game.

The Seahawks caught their bye week at the perfect time as they have a ton of injuries on the offensive line and, while they are getting healthier, they still will not have everyone back and at 100%. That will be trouble against a Bengals team that is averaging 3 sacks per game.

This line has bounced back and forth between -2.5 and -3. I expect it to firm up at a solid -3 as game time approaches. Grab the -2.5 now as this sets up nicely for the Bengals to get a win and cover on Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders -2.5 vs New England Patriots – Sunday, 4:05 pm ET

The Raiders grabbed a big win on Monday night against the Green Packers to improve to 2-3 and their defense really stepped up in the 17-13 win. They forced 3 interceptions against Packers QB Jordan Love.

The Patriots offense has looked absolutely lost all season and, despite being benched multiple times, Patriots coach Bill Belichick says Mac Jones is still the starting QB even though the Patriots are averaging a league-worst 11 points per game on the season.

The trends are not favoring the Patriots either. They are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games. It is not a great spot for them either, they have to take the cross-country trip and then turn right back around and come home for a huge division against the Bills.

The Raiders meanwhile are hitting a favorable stretch and really have a chance to turn the season around as 4 of their next 5 games are against the Patriots, Bears, Giants, and Jets, with 3 of those games being at home.

The Raiders have covered 6 of their last 10 at home. Look for that to continue Sunday and grab them -2.5 now before it is -3 or maybe even higher come Sunday afternoon.
