PrizePicks isn't falling behind by any means. They roll out line discounts (offering better lines for the same payout), profit boosts, Airdrops (random cash bonuses), and a protected play promo offering a bonus credit refund if your pick falls short—on top of what you get from Flex mode. They have themed days for these perks, like Taco Tuesday for projection promos and Flex Friday for the consolation prize safety net.

FanDuel Sportsbook hosts promotions like profit boosts, referral deals, bet & get reload bonuses, insurance promos, and more. These offers tend to pop up during major sports seasons. At any given moment, you can expect to find at least 3+ active promos running.

FanDuel vs. PrizePicks Payouts – Winner: FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel DFS now does offer a Pick’em option through FanDuel Picks. Instead of fixed tables, FanDuel uses a peer-to-peer payout ladder where entries are split across prize pools and backed by guaranteed multipliers, just like with PrizePicks Player Picks entries.

You can see payouts by entry size for the major DFS apps here (including PrizePicks). While I won't list every payout, I'll highlight a few to compare with what FanDuel Sportsbook offers on a parlay of -110 (50/50 bets) with the same number of legs, just to give you an idea.

FanDuel provides better payouts than PrizePicks, and this gap widens as you add more selections to your ticket.

Hitting 3/3 picks at PrizePicks nets you a 5/1 payout, compared to FanDuel's 7/1 for the same number of selections.

Nailing 6/6 picks at PrizePicks delivers a 25/1 payout, whereas FanDuel steps it up to 48/1.

With this in mind, it’s worthwhile to compare PrizePicks’ player stat projections to FanDuel’s lines for the same player. FanDuel updates their lines much more regularly than PrizePicks and the odds on each side of the bet (such as Over/Under) will fluctuate based on money coming in.

With PrizePicks, on the other hand, you receive the same payout regardless of whether you choose more or less.

Knowing this, you can compare FanDuel’s lines/odds to what PrizePicks offers to find value on PrizePicks.

For example, say Patrick Mahomes passing yards line is set at 255.5 yards on FanDuel but the Over is juiced up to -150 as opposed to the standard -110 line. This indicates that many people are taking the Over and, if you assume FanDuel knows what they’re doing, that it’s more likely to hit.

PrizePicks, meanwhile, doesn’t adjust the payouts based on which side is included in entries, so you’re getting a better deal on PrizePicks by taking higher on Mahomes’ passing yards as compared to FanDuel.

If you can find 3+ picks on PrizePicks that match this scenario, you’ll be getting a better deal by placing that entry on PrizePicks instead of betting it on FanDuel.

FanDuel vs. PrizePicks User Interface – Winner: Tie

Both FanDuel and PrizePicks have clean designs that are easy to navigate.

PrizePicks is a bit more user-friendly for beginners since their game selection is much smaller leading to a simpler layout. Both FanDuel DFS and Sportsbook have a bit more going on but are easy to get around once you use them for a week or so.

PrizePicks boasts a stylish dark interface, highlighted by splashes of purple throughout. Navigation is a breeze with a clear, horizontal menu guiding you through the site. To start, just pick a sport, narrow it down by stat type, and you're presented with a pool of athletes for that specific stat. From there, making your picks is straightforward: choose 2+ athletes, decide on “More” or “Less” for their performance, and enter your stake.

PrizePicks‘ mobile app is essentially a compact version of their desktop site, tailored to fit the smaller screens of mobile devices. The key adjustment is the introduction of a hamburger menu, designed for quick access to all the essential features with just a few taps.

FanDuel DFS has tons of contests, which might seem a bit much at first, especially if you're a new player. But once you get the hang of it, you'll see it's pretty user-friendly. The site does a great job of guiding you to the day's top contests and breaking them down by sport, so finding your way around gets easier by the day.

It’s easy to assemble a lineup on FanDuel DFS. Players are laid out with all the key details you need, like their projected points and latest game stats. If you're looking for a shortcut, use the “Pick with Guru” option. It will help you whip up a lineup while watching your budget. Hit “Submit,” and you're in. You can track how you're doing within the “Scores” tab.

FanDuel Sportsbook is just as user-friendly and quick as its DFS counterpart. An A-Z listing of sports sits neatly on the left sidebar, with the core betting options springing to life in the center as pick a sport. They also have a search feature that makes it easy to find the games and bets you’re interested in.

FanDuel vs. PrizePicks Contest Variety – Winner: FanDuel DFS & Sportsbook

FanDuel leaves PrizePicks in the dust in the contest variety category.

PrizePicks has shifted gears from the old “against the house” Pick’em style into a new peer-to-peer contest model. Lineups are now grouped with other players, and your picks are scored against theirs. The result feels closer to DFS competition while still keeping the fast, more/less gameplay that built their brand.

The gameplay itself hasn’t changed much. You still choose 2 to 6 athletes and call whether they’ll go More or Less than the posted stat line.

What’s new is how the contests are settled.

A perfect lineup always triggers a guaranteed multiplier, shown before you confirm your entry. But if multiple players are in your group, you can also win by outscoring them head-to-head, even if your lineup isn’t flawless. That means it’s no longer binary “all right or all wrong.”

What’s also new is the variable scoring system. Standard projections count as 1 point, while Demon and Goblin picks slightly boost or reduce the score depending on difficulty, giving skilled players more ways to separate from the pack.

PrizePicks also revamped payouts with this update. Every lineup has a guaranteed multiplier if you go perfect — up to 37.5x on a 6-pick — and prize pools are shared among the highest-scoring entries. If the pool payout is lower than your guaranteed multiplier, PrizePicks tops you up to make sure you hit the minimum.

At the high end, the max payout ceiling is now 2,000x, but that requires stacking Demon Picks, which are tougher to hit than regular projections.

FanDuel's DFS platform is packed with contests, all built around a salary-cap model. Tournaments are particularly popular, where participants battle it out against a large field for big cash rewards. Each tournament has its own set of rules, entry costs, and prize pools, so there's plenty of variety.

Beyond tournaments, FanDuel DFS offers a variety of other contests. In Head-to-Head battles, it's you versus one other player in a straightforward winner-takes-all showdown, minus FanDuel's cut. Then there are Best Ball contests, where you set your lineup once and watch it compete all season long. FanDuel does the heavy lifting, choosing your top performers each week. You'll also come across satellites that can punch your ticket to bigger contests, daily snake drafts, multipliers that can boost your winnings, and more.

On top of that, FanDuel recently launched FanDuel Picks, a peer-to-peer Pick’em contest that mirrors PrizePicks’ core format but adds its own twist with guaranteed multipliers and pooled prize splits. Players build 3-to-6 pick lineups and call over or under on stat lines, with payouts that can scale all the way to 1,000x on Spicy entries.

FanDuel Sportsbook covers 20 sports, each loaded with countless betting options. They offer many more types of props bets compared to other top sportsbooks.

That being said, PrizePicks has its strengths—particularly for those who dig Pick’em games. It’s definitely worth trying out, even if only for the player stat projections, which can be more favorable than what you’d find on sportsbooks.
